whenever I try to edit admin/functions.php it always gives me this error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/meichan/public_html/forums/admin/functions.php on line 916

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: vbdate() in /home/meichan/public_html/forums/admin/sessions.php on line 358

even if i try to add a break line!
do you know why?? :bunny:

I'm puzzled...why would you get this error when editing the file? Anyway...if you have the original file then up it to the server and see if it clears up...otherwise post the php version and vbulletin version you are using and we'll take it form there.....

these been a slight problem
i couldnt access my user cpanel to get to my email address it was blocked.. somehow. i knew my email addy was probably wrong since i changed it in the dark and couldnt see my own keyboard XD i couldn't even access my profile or anything basically in the cpanel so i never got the email. gomen (sorry). don't kill me for signing up with a new account.. i want to live. Now i can actually reply *sigh* and access my own profile

Anyway, this error is very strange because one, i can't install most hacks without editing functions.php and it wont even let me add a break line. It happens whenever i just edit it. What's wrong? I know i can just reupload the original functions.php and it'll be fine but i do need to install hacks ^^;;
