Hello, I'm using vBulletin 5 and attempting to create portal that loads custom information in lists that are submitted by different users. To do this, I got idea of using profile fields to create small fields of information and for bigger description use post thread to have bbcode etc. enabled.

To make all this simple for website user to reach, I'd like to have edit for all of these in one custom page, so they can edit the information they give. I'm open for other ideas, like if there is some kind of modifications available to use it would be even better.

The problem I have is that I haven't found out how to load these forms. Hope that someone could help me with this, thanks in advance. :)

I could really use the database to do this, but I have no clue how to do the queries correctly with vBulletin. I'd like to use fields to submit data in several fields and saved in same row with user's id. That data would be horizontally displayed in my portal page.

If anyone could help me with insert and fetch with vBulletin from the database, I'd really appreciate it. :)

If you create custom profile fields, then they would show up in the User Settings page (/settings/profile). No need to create a separate page and code for saving, updating and querying the database.

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know is there any modification to allow use of BBcode in these userfields? I think there was one for vB4.

Where do you want to display the custom fields?

In a custom page, PHP module.

You can call User or Profile API from PHP Module to fetch the custom fields. I don't have it handy but if you know how to read the php code, you can take a look at the source code.
