View Full Version : Loading a sidebar widget on its own page

Anyone have an idea on how to pull this off? I have taken the code from the (nameofthewidgetblock).php and duplicated it in its own page. I just can't get it to render it/process the variables so it is just blank. I've tried including everything but just can't get it to work.

To make it simple, I've been trying to get the dbtech_thanks.php block to display on it's own page instead of the sidebar. Then I would work to add other information to it myself but I can't get to that part yet. The goal here is I want to be able to show the 'trending' content from the thanks/like mod on it's own page.

So far I've got the template and page, and I get the page to load with the layout of the sidebar block (two tabs and a drop down) but nothing else.

Any suggestions here?

I suggest you ask the developers at dbtech. They may or may not not be on board with your attempt at re-engineering their code.

I did, they are the ones who pointed me to the right file because that was my main problem before. I actually didn't even know the widget existed before and was trying to get the right SQL query to pull the content.

I was just hoping somebody with more experience than me might know what it is I am failing to include. I'll keep digging and working on it but just had to post something in case somebody sees this and has an idea.
