Hello guys i have a problem 4 hours ago my site is down and when i chat from hosting man he clear all unwanted files and others but site going slow and down position after he search found a big problem he says:
Server: showthread.php This file is consuming more cpu resources on the server. I have renamed it for temporary
And now your domain also loading fine with good load speed.
ME: major problem if i open any thread i rec 404 error
Server: I have restored it now
Me: again 100/100 error :(, before my site is working fine first time today i see this problem
Server: Yes its not the issue from the server
I request you to optimise the below file on your domain
index.php
showthread.php
newreply.php
These files consuming high cpu on the server Because of that you are facing this issue.
i suggest you to update plugin themes and optimize the domain scripts frequently as well
How to optimize this situation ? Help please

Yeah, well, if you remove the scripts that make up the forumsoftware (like index.php, or showthread.php), of course load goes down. Making a site completely unusable will do that for you.
You can try disabling your addon system to see if that fixes the issue. If it does not, you need a more powerful server.

I dont want another sections thread be like this please help me to solve this issue not site is fine but i think Ips attacking another section threads
As cellarius said, did you try disabling the addon system to see if that fixes the "slowness" of your forum?
It's possible that your host is just being nitpicky and it's time to move from cheap shared? hosting to a VPS (which is almost as much as a shared webhost anyway).

I love it when hosts tell you to 'optimize' files that are part of one of the most widely used pieces of software on the internet.
Because yeah, sure, hundreds of thousands of people have used this code without issue but suddenly this host has discovered that the code needs 'optimizing'.
Whenever I see this going on, my response is the same - ask them to tell you the piece of code they think is causing the problem. It's always good for a laugh.

As I said before: That's like asking "My car consumes too much fuel. If I stop the engine, it stops using so much fuel. What's the problem". If you remove showthread.php, your forum is essentially dead, and of course it won't use many ressources anymore.
before post i says i just hide all threads from 1 section and my site is going fine 4 to 5 hours ago so i am asking again why this happen ?
If it's a large enough section, removing it from public access will of course have an impact. If you remove, say, 1/4 of your posts, then there will be 1/4 less site accesses.

yea i know i cant delete showthrad or rename so i am asking for help to avoid another section threads for this situatio
i move 1 thread form trash to problrm section and again i see lots of views again and my site is down whats the problem
1. Your problem is that your host is crap, upgrade to a better server.
2. You may be under a DDoS attack, which could also cause these problems.

Ensure your files are clean i.e. has your site been hacked? Are those files consuming more resources because they're actually using them from malicious code being included?
This could be a number of things like Cellarius and Dave mentioned, it could be from a globally called plugin and your host is simply seeing more load on those few pages because they're the most frequented etc etc.
Check, check, and check again until you're sure of the actual issue not just a guess, when you're not guessing anymore then you're actually cooking with bacon and can serve good eggs with it ;). Me and my analogies lol

Did you do this?
Are you running the latest and greatest
Are you running excisive plugins that aren't helping
Are your plugins and style made with quality code?
Temporally disable all your plugins and use the default style.
Does that help?
If so add one plugin at a time and stop with your cpu crashes.
Oh... and ofc you'll need to have showthread.php spelled correctly, wouldn't hurt to upload a fresh copy of your vb files as well.
Take a backup
The host isn't 100% at fault here, they are trying to help. Your site is bogging the server down, it's very likely a poorly coded plugin.
make a backup before doing anything crazy

That means the file is not found, you can specify in .htaccess which file you want as your 404, if you do not have that file on the server i.e. 404.shtml then its producing errors because its trying to tell the guests or members that a page does not exist, except that page does not exist!
Open your .htaccess file and look for something similar to:
ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml
If its not there then it would be via vbseo/dbseo you can specify in settings where/what your 404 page is. If you do not have a 404 page you can try this: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=245531
Edit: Your English is fine since its ESL, you're doing great!

I found file here: /public_html/vb/exception/404.php
Is this is 404.php file ?
also i have 2 .htaccess files
First one in /.htaccess
<IfModule mod_deflate.c>
SetOutputFilter DEFLATE
<IfModule mod_setenvif.c>
# Netscape 4.x has some problems...
BrowserMatch ^Mozilla/4 gzip-only-text/html
# Netscape 4.06-4.08 have some more problems
BrowserMatch ^Mozilla/4\.0[678] no-gzip
# MSIE masquerades as Netscape, but it is fine
# BrowserMatch \bMSIE !no-gzip !gzip-only-text/html
# NOTE: Due to a bug in mod_setenvif up to Apache 2.0.48
# the above regex won't work. You can use the following
# workaround to get the desired effect:
BrowserMatch \bMSI[E] !no-gzip !gzip-only-text/html
# Don't compress images
SetEnvIfNoCase Request_URI .(?:gif|jpe?g|png)$ no-gzip dont-vary
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_headers.c>
# Make sure proxies don't deliver the wrong content
Header append Vary User-Agent env=!dont-vary
</IfModule>
</IfModule>
2nd is: /public_html/.htaccess
RewriteEngine on
<Files .htaccess>
order allow,deny
deny from all
</Files>
php_value max_input_vars 100000

Find a proper host as that reply suggests the one you have are clueless - and probably running a badly overloaded server.
