View Full Version : Editing Navbar links

<font face="Century Gothic">Hello, I've done quite a bit of research and looked through the templates. However, I'm barley novice at coding, however I gave it my attempt. What I'm trying to do is to condense the links in the Nav sections. I would like the "Navigation" to include more, such as VB3 had done. I'm also trying to figure out how to remove the settings link and replace it with a "User CP" dropdown box. On the lower navbar sections I would like to remove the new posts, forum actions and privates messages. (not getting rid of PM's, feels redundant on both top and bottom). "Groups", "Albums" and "Friends & Contacts" would go in the User CP and I'd like to move the "F.A.Q." and "Calender" into the Community" dropdown. I would also remove quick links and move view staff to the community dropdown.
If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate any help. Thank you!</font>

The items you see that are the main Navbar Tabs and the sub-menus associated with those are editable in Admincp > Settings > Navigation Manager.
The items at the very top where you see your name would need to be edited via the templates - the header template, I believe.

As Lynne has mentioned, go to Admincp>Settings>Navigation manager and then click the tab next to Forum.
As for your other requests, I'll have to leave that to more experienced members as I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag.

If anyone will read what I stated I never mention anything about the "TAB menu". That is not at all what I'm asking about.

We know, you are talking about the "lower navbar sections" where it says "New Posts", "FAQ", "Calendar", "Community", etc. So, go to Admincp > Settings > Navigation Manager and click on Forum and it will open up and show all those sub-menu items and you may edit them there.

Terribly sorry, thanks for that. Do you know how I would go about editing the top links?

Those are in a template (as I stated above, I believe it is the header template).
