Hi all, absolute novice here so cut me some slack on this :o

I'm slowly teaching myself the program and I'm still at absolute novice level. Im considering my next step which could involve adding widgets?

Well, when I click on the Widget tab I'm getting the fatal error screen attached.

Hopefully one of you might be able to tell me that I've messed up somewhere else and will know EXACTLY how to fix it??

:erm:

Hopefully?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Do you have any modifications on the site? Have you modified any files at all? What version of vBulletin are you running and what version of PHP is on the server?

errrrr the only mod that I'm aware of is something MarkFL helped me with. It was a tweak to help with having closed thread for a poll still to be active, basically so people cant comment on the poll.

Other than that nothing that I'm aware of but I have been poking around a lot.

PHP version, no idea. Is there a way i can tell without contacting my web guy?

Plus Im not using the latest version of vb4, would that be an issue too?

Thanks

To find the PHP version: AdminCP > Maintenance > View PHP Info.

Your PHP and version are fine.

It's really impossible to tell what the problem is from the image. When did this problem start? Did anything change on your server or the site just before the problem started? If you look at your database and the table "cms_widgettype", what class is associated with widgettypeid 16?

Hi Lynne, I'm sorry but that's a little over my head.
I didn't notice a problem as such. I was just teaching myself how to do some things, changing the odd setting then seeing the results.
The thought popped into my head about adding some widgets to the site I'm developing and basically when I clicked on the widget tab I saw the error message (obviously it's still there)

Maybe I've caused it but I didnt think I'd changed anything major.

I understand its really tough trying to give me an answer to a problem I cant explain.
I'm thinking of finding someone on UpWork to help me with the site so maybe that may be a way forward at some point.

I plan to get my web guy to update to the latest Vb4 Release and patch as soon as he can so maybe that will help.
I Purchased v5 but i'm steering well clear of that at present.

If you want to send me admin login permissions to take a quick look at the admincp to see if it's obvious there, then go ahead and send me a PM with the link and login details.
