I am wondering how difficult if would be to auto post a thread from defined forums to facebook/twitter?

I already have the ability for any member to manually push a thread to FB, Twitter or G+, but I'm looking for an automated process (if one already exists - please point me in that direction).

some background on this request

I keep getting asked for a mobile app (look at a mobile responsive theme now) but I want to be able to get alerts out when members post in certain forums to be pushed out to Facebook/Twitter and use a FB/Twitter push notification when a new post is made.

I, currently, am using https://dlvr.it to post to Facebook and Twitter. I set it up years ago and forgot all about it, but it seems to have been working all this time.

So how do you 'post' to dlvr.it? How do I tell it to post messages from specific forums?

You have to use rss feeds from your forums.

Using a FB marketing tool then you can do this but you need to use feed for it.

I think this is enough to have many posts published to social networks, the problem is your members are ready do/share posts.
