Hello,

after upgrading vbulletin from 3.8.7 to 4.2.2 some users see in their profile wrong names and data.
for example when user login with his username (e.g. Daniel) and choosing his profile, he can see different name (e.g. misha) with different profile details. both users are exist

i assume that the connection changed after the upgrade and some data connection in DB are wrong.

what is the correct DB to look for the connection between the user and profile data?

thanks,
Dooby

Seems to me that the unique ID's are messed up in the database.
Try to use "Fix broken user profiles" and "Update User Names" at Maintenance > General Update Tools.

If that doesn't work, you should look into the database and check what's wrong, because we can't.

And as always, create backups before you do anything related to updating and updating the above.

Do you have any caching going on on the server?

The information is in the user table - that has the userid and the username. However, I am guessing your issue is something else. Do you have any SEO modification? Can we actually get links to view the problem?

i have DragonByte just for changing the redirect URL but im not sure this is the problem because it happens to specific user and not for all users.

you cant view the problem because you need the username and password for this specific users to see the problem.

i will look inside user table and update you.

thanks in advance,
Dooby

As I said in the other thread, you can disable plugins temporarily, do that and see if you still have the same issue.

thanks,
as i wrote on the other thread, i dont think that this is the problem because it happens just for one user (that i know).

We don't know the SEO code, so we don't know that it can't just happen for one user. You really need to disable all your modifications (which includes the SEO .htaccess/modification) in order to see if it is a modification causing the issue.

Well if you are unwilling to take the required steps to see what the issue is then no one will be able to, or be willing to help you. :(

As Chris says, there isn't anything we can do if you are unwilling to disable your SEO code.

As well as any .htaccess you have. :)

Glad to hear you decided to follow our suggestions and disable the mod. Now you need to contact them to sort the issue. :)
