Hi all,

I know that vb has a built-in feature like this "similar threads" on vb4, but I want to know if it is possible to customize that a little so that similar threads take place per forum. Meaning that the similar threads listed per forum or group of forums.

any idea if that is possible or not??

Thanks

You would probably need an additional plugin to run a check for that.

if Ozzy can make one, that would be amazing. This is very useful plugin to exclude unwanted forums' threads to show up as similar threads...

I hope it is not complicated to do so...

I can look into it if I get some time, not sure when that would be.

Thanks Ozzy for dedicating time to trying to create such plugin. I'll be waiting anyways because I disabled the feature similar threads property till I find a way how to exclude some forums's threads from being displayed.

I appreciate that.

please let me know if you are done. :)

Thanks again. :)

Just to be clear, this is when you are viewing a thread? Also you want to exclude posts from specified forums from showing in that check?

it is great, but one more thing if possible. can you make it per multiple languages per forum??

I have two different languages English and none-English forums and want to display similar threads per language if possible ...

I'm not sure if I explained that in the right way or not...

I hope the idea is clear.

if you can't it is fine then. All appreciated!!

I kinda get it, but not fully clear.

So on style A what do you want it to do different from style B?

excellent. That is exact what I want. OR if it is easier per language?? whatever is easy to do so would be great.

Thanks big time

Right, but what is it you want it to do different?

ok, let's say on style A I want forum 1,2,3,4,5 to be in the similar threads showing, while on style B I want forums 6,7,8,9,10,11 to be in the similar threads showing...

I hope the idea is clear now :)

Ok gotcha, that is a bit site specific, so that won't be in a public release. But I might be able work it up, and PM it to you on my site again.

Ok it is in your inbox. :)

There is three new settings, another forum selector, and two options to enter style id's.
