How 'global' is $prepared[] ?

I've seen stuff like $prepared[musername] which would output...the user's name in a template. (I think I noticed it in the profile templates, but may be elsewhere).

I'm just wondering if anyone knows offhand if this should work in all the templates, or if its going to be specific to certain ones.

I can't think of anywhere I've even seen $prepared[musername] in the templates before.

But, you can try, it'll work or it wont :)

Its in MEMBERINFO for sure...

along with a bunch of other $prepared[] stuff.

It will only work in any of the member info templates, most likely these:
