Can I add two sub forums under one category of different languages

Can we set up two child/subforums say forum1(English) and forum2(French) under one category say Main Forum? Also the topics available in forum1 should not be visible to forum2 users? Is this feasible? Please help.

You may use usergroup permissions to stop users from viewing certain forums. So, if you have a usergroup for English and one for French, you can just make it so English can't see French and French can't see English.
