Move threads from one forum to another

How can I move threads from one forum to another?
I have a live forum and a test forum. I want to update the test forum threads and posts from the live site..

you would need to make a database backup of your live site and then import it into mysql and point your test site at it (assuming they are both using the same version of vB).

yep i know that, but how about my customizations on the templates and plugins on the test site that are not present on live site?

You may export Styles and Plugins from your test site and them import them to your live site.
