I am having a weird issue where the usergroup is not reverting back to original for some users and its working fine for others.I looked at their subscription settings and even though their subscription has expired they are still in the same usergroup. Is there a way to move all of them back to a usergroup ? I don't want to check 500 users and do it manually .. that would take forever.

Unfortunately, you need to trace a bit more of this down yourself. Very hard for anyone to quote you a price to fix an intermittent open problem -- they would or should charge you by the hour. I am pretty sure that is not what you are looking for.
I have not heard of a problem with the code here. I use the subscription system (modified) on my daughters board with no problems.
I think you would get more help if you tell us what you have tried. For example did you test it with all hooks disabled? Is there anything common with the users that it works fine with and those that it does not. Did it stop working on a particular date. These kind of questions you can get free help on and will greatly help the consultant try to fix the board.
My guess is that you have a cron problem or mod that is interfering with a cron job or the subscription code. Disable your hooks and test on a local server if you can.
I am not criticizing you, just really trying to suggest a better path to get the job done. I completely understand your frustration and I applaud you are thinking this might be above your head and you need some help. Lets just give you a better starting point!
Good luck, I am around if you have any questions. :)
PS: Just re-read your question, yes there is away to move them all back to another user group via some custom code. However you never want to do this on your live board without a serious backup.

Basically i have a plugin which changes usergroup after he/she purchases item using that plugin but since the plugin doesn't actually revert the user back to normal usergroup, its forcing me to change the users manually. So i was looking for something that would check for expired users and change the usergroup to a specific usergroup if his/her subscription has expired.
