I keep getting alot of 404 error file not found when I try to install products that involve adding files to my server.Does anyone know why?Or have any idea of what I could be doing wrong.
Are they 404 errors, or "In addtion a 404 error occurred"? If they are 404 errors, which pages aren't found? If they're "in addition...", it means some other error happened first.

Are you sure that you are uploading the mod files in the right place?

I think so ,but i am still new to this.I will most likely pay someone to add my files and mods to see if they can figure out what I am doing wrong.

Easiest way is check the file is on your server
In the browser tab check the address and if it says like
forums/images/1.png and that image is not found
Check your files in the exact same place to see if it is there
The same for all files mate

You are probably not uploading them right. I could help - but first make sure you are doing it correctly ;)
Use filezilla, and any files in the upload folder upload directly to /public_html - it is how I do it

Can you tell us how exactly are you trying to upload the mod files?

First I unzip the file(right click and use extract all).I use filzilla ,so I find the file I want to up load on the left side(computer). For example;vbactivity and awards.I drag the upload folder to the public_html file which is on the right side. This is how I was told to upload mod files

You shouldn''t upload them like that. The best way to upload them would be to upload the contents inside the upload folder of the mod inside your forum folder, i.e. in the root of your forum folder, maintaining the structure intact.

No, double click the upload folder and do the same. If you just drag the upload folder, you are putting everything into a folder called upload on your site :)
