CMS - sort by date?

I want to generate a link that allow user to sort articles by date with a querystring (ie. ?orderby=date) or similar.
I don't need the option from editing section :)
Can any1 help me?

Can you be more specific?

Sort articles within a section?
Sort articles displaying within a section?
Sort articles displaying within a category?
Sort ALL articles?
All published articles?

That still leaves two options:

All articles that are assigned to the section or all articles that display in the section.

There's no query parameter for either at the moment, so it'll have to be hacked in. Additionally, I did a quick scan of the places you'd do either, and I didn't see any hooks, so it looks like it'll involve directly modifying files.
