Over the years I developed 3 sections on the site using VBULLETIN templates and I am about to do a REDESIGN of the site... should i ween myself of the VB templates and just use Cakephp ?
Would like some input from 3.8 folks...
Scenario 1: Create a new style/design and change/redo the existing custom templates to apply the new design but then another incentive comes to upgrade to VB4.0..eg. mobile suite .... which will cause more pain to upgrade newly applied templates and php pages from old VB3 function calls
Scenario 2: Develop new design using Cakephp templating and disconnect dependancy with vbulletin... and use cakephp VB bridge
Is there any benefit with using cakephp templates vs calling templates from VB for custom pages?
