View Full Version : Editor Controls not showing up
Hi there,
in a mod of mine, I used the code from Steve M's article (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?p=2296872) to create an editor and it worked before, but after an upgrade (from 4.1.5 to 4.1.8), the controls stopped to display. I updated the code (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2250242&postcount=69) to match this, but it still does not show up. Was there a change in the editor code in the newer versions? The function seems the same.

Thanks

is this on default skin and what browser are you using
Yup,default skin, tried creating a new style, still the same problem. It occurs in Firefox as well as IE8. Looks like controls are disabled or something, since emoticons are displaying (though they are not being inserted into the editor).

Check AdminCP > Settings > Options > Style & Language Options and make sure that Default Style for Modern Mobile Browsers and Default Style for Old Mobile Browsers are set to NONE, not to your default style.
Yeah, I searched before and found this answer in several threads and I did not have it set to NONE (before it did not display anything). After setting it to NONE, only the message box and smilies appeared, the controls however not.

Do you mean the controls are not there at all or they are blank boxes?
View the image in my first post, they are not at all there. The editor images are in the right folder

This happend to one of my test forums, to sort this out I had to "Execute SQL Query" ... "Show Enhanced (WYSIWYG) editor toolbar"
Tried it, did not work :-/
Did you find a resolution for this cause I am currently having this issue and also the threads will not format correctly
When I hit enter in the text box it shows up but mashes all the text together when it is posted
Hi,
yeah, my problem was that editors don't work inside sub-directories of vBulletin because some files are not being included.
