Good day to you all.

I am wondering if I can have an RSS feed for my site, forum, or thread that others can register for. I know I can receive RSS feeds, but how do i send them out?

Thanks in advance!!

turn them on in options

Forgive my uber-newbieness....

I went to External Data Provider and Enable RSS Syndication was already "on."

However, this is for incoming RSS feeds. I need to allow people to receive RSS feeds from my site.

I use version 3.8.7

Thanks for the help

The 'Enable RSS Syndication' option is for "sending out" feeds.

No, it's a completely reasonable question. I believe when it's enabled a line gets inserted in the html that causes some browsers to turn on the "feed" icon, so a user can click on it and subscribe to it. But if you need a url to enter somewhere, it should be

http://mysite.com/forum/external.php?type=RSS2

where of course you'd replace http://mysite.com/forum with the actual path to your site.

ETA: ...also what ForceHSS mentioned above. :)

I do not have that button on my site www.childhoodcancerforums.com and cancer-forum.org (both version 3.8.7).

How do I get this button to show up?
