Well, I'm a bit bamboozled.

I uploaded files (twice). Installed .xml (twice). Added widget to the cms layout.
I don't see it anywhere on my site and I've done a hard refresh.

I've cruised all the settings to familiarize myself.
For the most part in admin, it appears to have installed correctly. Only thing I don't have based on your preview images is "custom content" section.

I haven't the slightest idea what to try next and I feel stupid.
I have to be missing something simple.

Update: I've been trying things for hours now it seems! I really want this to work. I've bought another VBTech product I love and might consider this one too, but I'm nothing but frustrated.

I actually tried creating a new widget that looks exactly like the one created by the product and it at least shows up a box, but there is nothing in the box. The widget that the product created is right below the blank one you see in the layouts, but it doesn't show on the site. So frustrating.

Ah ok - I got confused as I had the lite version over a year ago and it was there but I guess you've changed it - shame :down:

Did you configure the CMS settings in the Instance Management? Keep in mind that in that interface, there's two configuration sections - one for Forum and one for CMS.

I have the problem, that the pictures in the cms-widget only display one or two times. If i click reload in my browser, then i can the the widget, but collapsed and with no content. Now i must wait 5-10 minutes and then the widget works again. But again only for 1 or two reloads.

I use vB Suite 4.2.1. and the free Slider (lite). What could be the problem?

OK yes, must something wrong with the cache. I have tryed to set the vbSlider-Widget cache Setings to 5 minutes and to 60 minutes. Same Result: The widget loads one time and when i reload the site, the widget is collapsed. But everytime i go to the configuration of the vbSlider Widget and save them, the widget works again for one time.

I am having a rather unique problem that isn't specific to this slider either.

Anytime I try to install any slider I encounter an issue where the CMS widget displayed on the home screen is displaying the "customize" options instead of the script. I think that there is an issue with pulling article information or java, I'm not sure what is causing this problem but assistance would be wonderful.

ahh was just a template conflict, reverted the widget template and all is well. Something borked in the template merge from 2.0.0 -> 3.0.1

Does this work correctly with Vbseo now?We're running it with vBSEO @ our forum, and we experience no problems. If you have a specific problem then please post it.

I have tried using this on clients sites with Vbseo installed and when clicking on the slider images they usually get sent back to the cms page. My clients really like this slider until they try to follow an image.

Is there something specific that has to be done upon install to get this working properly with Vbseo?

Update-was an older version..not sure if it was the same version as here. The new version works with Vbseo though.

Sorry but I do not understand your question. It should work as long as you have a Vbulletin license. This is a lite version but should work.

No other mods received a Patch Level release - it's all hotfixes. To create a new version number for 31 mods (the total number of mods updated for vB 4.2.2) would have meant you would not have seen any updates for several more days.

We decided to prioritise getting the fixes in the hands of our users and customers as soon as possible :)

If you buy a 3 Month licence, you can upgrade to any version we release within 3 months of purchase, but the version you're running at the end of those 3 months is the latest you will have access to unless you renew.

I believe I am also supposed to see forum and CMS settings here as well.

I have made sure to enable permissions to edit vBSlider under administrator and also added myself as a superadmin on config.php (I'm uid=1).

Because the settings are missing, I am unable to try out the lite version at all (there's nowhere to turn it on; I believe to turn on the slider on forum is for "Forum settings"). I have disabled all the products, and I've also tried disabling hooks in config.php. They're still not there.

Am I forgetting anything? I require your assistance as soon as possible.

One question, is it possible to use more than one slider widget? If so, it is also possible for each widget to use a another instans of sliders?

Example:
vBSlider (is the orginal widget, with this code require(DIR . "/dbtech/vbslider/actions/widget.php"); ) this with the default "instance1"

vBSlider2 (this is a other widget, with this code require(DIR . "/dbtech/vbslider/actions/widget2.php"); ) this with my new "instance2"

Or is there another way, how can I realize my "idea".

Could you help me with this please?Please check your server's error log for the real reason behind a HTTP 500 Internal Server Error as it is not something we can assist with.
