I recently did an update/upgrade (4.1.3 > 4.1.7pl2), also from CMPS to CMS suite.
I did not revert any templates, & seems to be having issues when i promote articles.. The articles stay with no gaps, spaces or line breaks.!?
Any idea why.?
I'm guessing that none of this has to do with reverting templates or not, nor running CMPS & CMS at the same time, but i dont know what else could be the issue or what is different from other sites that work fine. :(
Thanks for any insight.

*edit*
Also another issue im seeing is if i try to edit a post i can use the quick edit, but when i hit the "Go Advanced" button it acts like the button is dead, doesn't even attempt to do anything.!?
Weird huh, i never seen a button go dead like that. lol
I don't know about the first problem you mention, but the second one sounds liek a javascript problem. A lot of the buttons run javascript when they're pressed and if there's a js error nothing will happen.

Something i might have changed in the update (templates), or file on server, or..?
Where would i start.?
Thanks

FYI, They work on the vBdefault style, but not on any of the custom styles.

Anyone good with javascript, or know where i should start to check, or what to try first.?

You need to upgrade your templates. I'd suggest going through each modified one and comparing it to the default and seeing what you need to change.

Wow first try.!!
It was the SHOWTHREAD template
This was the first part missing..
<vb:if condition="$show['lightbox']">
<script type="text/javascript" src="clientscript/vbulletin_lightbox.js?v={vb:raw vboptions.simpleversion}"></script>
</vb:if>
Thanks Lynn. (that's what i get for not doing my homework on reverting when i upgrade)
Isn't there a site, or a program that you can enter code to compare automatically.? :D

You can do it in Edit Template > View History > Compare. I like to then click to View Site-By-Side also.

Where is View History.?
I get to "Edit Template" then i'm lost.
There is a View Original button, but it doesn't do anything.

View History will only show up if you are editing a modified template.

Found it thanks.. & WOW.!!
There is a ton of different code.. Jeez, how do you know what to use & what not to use.!?
I'm comparing (im guessing) the default to my new style, so there is a lot of different code.. where do you start, & how do you know what to even look for when deciding to revert or not.
I'm guessing reverting will remove the current style stuff which could be bad, but if it isn't working correctly you have to right.?
OR
copy & paste to create your own template that works best.!?
A skin that claims to be updated to the current version should work correctly right.? (Isn't that what that means)
Eitherway thanks a million, i now can see everything i need to make better decisions in the future. :)
