Hi
I'm just about to buy vB 4.x Publ.+Mob. suite, but first I wonder how good or bad they are on supporting their customers? Or maybe I totally have to rely on this forum for help?

I've seen discussion-examples where customers bought the mobile site and first got offered one price ($99) and when charged actually got charged $199 instead, but no one from vB even seems to be addressing this issue...

But on the other hand vB claims to have very rapid support and has a large customer base...

Please advice - thanks!

From what I have seen the support is very good at both vb forums.

If you are buying the siute you get support through the vbulletin ticket support system so you don't need to rely on the forums but you can if you want to.

I don't rely on the ticket system often, i prefer to use the forum for support.

If you will need fast and personal support then it would be better to use the Ticket System.

But, vbulletin will not support any vbulletin software that has been altered.
Meaning you can not have any addons added to your site to get support.

What does that have to do with support?

The model and price changed. Some people paid $99, that was prior to the launch of the app proper, and before the new model, which allows the users to publish the apps under their own accounts.

Support is great and if you use a third party modification or style then they should provide support or simply come here and the community is generally more than helpful ;).

Each time I have needed support, 3 times in all, the support has always been prompt and really helpful. I would definitely recommend.

I've always been happy with the support here and over at the .com

The support is good.
Ticket support is great if you need help with default stuff that comes with vB, but if you need help with third party stuff like superman stated, come here.

They've helped me in the past and we have a lot of addons.

Any time I have used support it was always replied on very quickly and it explained how to fix any problems you have in detail.
