Well for me in all major browsers full-screened I see it just fine, 1920 x 1080 Full Screen - screenshot in Firefox:

Edit: Markos, just to be clear - this was the Fluid version correct?

I deleted the 4.1.8 styles but left the files. I then imported the 4.1.7 xml's both fixed and fluid. Everything looks good now.

If your on 4.1.8 then this may present some slight issues notably the double comma issues etc otherwise it should still work fine.

Take a closer look at your screenshot you just posted and you will see the scroll bar showing at the bottom. Mine is the same as Markos using the fluid version. Using 1680 x 1059.

Ok you two try this and tell me how it looks afterwords, in additional.css find:

I really want to love this theme. But it seems that I need to impute so many edits just to get it to work right, not counting any customizations that I already will need to impute.

Having this theme as the child to the default helped a little.

Sadly many simply post negative comments or try to play on their words and make you feel guilty if your not catering to them and their specific needs or for that matter if you don't release a update daily lol and I hate those who beat around the bush considering I'm more of a straightforward type of guy :p.

Superman, thanks for all of your hard work on this theme! The color combination and layout is exactly what I was looking for. Although I really miss the clickable header. I've been using that shortcut for so long that it's become 2nd nature (accidentally clicked on it 20 times in the past couple days).

I also noticed a couple of issues:

P.S. I really like your idea of moving the Thread/Post counts to underneath the forum descriptions. The location of that column on the forum home has always bugged me too. Even moving the Thread/Post column to the right of the Last Post column would be an improvement.

As for the Blog comment backgrounds, confirmed as I did not even have a single blog post up, my "bad" for not checking beforehand please stand by for a update on the 4.1.8 which will also include the fluid width header fix listed a few posts back as well. The description colors... great idea I will change them to grey, it's not going to be white i.e. rgb(255, 255, 255) OR rgb(205, 205, 205) but instead a darker grey i.e. rgb(153, 153, 153) to match the "No New Posts" forum statusicons, that's my thoughts on this before seeing it on-screen, I'm thinking about the darker grey and thanks for the good ideas :cool:.

You should put those images in some spoiler tags (old and new perhaps) as it makes the page lag to scroll, but yeah; very nice skin.

I just wanna say that this is one of the best styles for vB4. Im liking the style u did for TechieAnalyst as well. Im hoping maybe one day we can get something like that.

Techinanlyst forums... one coder started but never finished, I then started over from scratch w/ a completely default style and made the transparent style you see up now, a white style is also planned which is basically going to be a transparent white theme instead of transparent black and at one point the backgrounds randomly changed which has since been removed but considering we worked around the background changing mod and you can choose a default background or upload your own. I ended up loving it and had several and I mean several of my close friends who run gaming communities bug the fire out of me for a copy of the style but it's 100% custom i.e. paid for so I wouldn't ever simply re-release it respectively - I would have to start from scratch to make anything similar which was a little bit of a undertaking... making that style was actually my first real challenge in a while regarding styles, made it fun again yet also tuned me into just how complex doing a quality transparent style can be :cool:.

Really like this skin, Installed it and love it. Very good job.

Edit Again: Nevermind, Thread/Post counts gave it away and answered that for me, do you mind installing the newest version then simply updating the stylevars for the titleimage then the statusicons? After that tell me if the logo shifts upon login/logout?

It can't be, check the image in the style description way up top ^ see how I only have one image up now? Now look at the screenshot of forumhome... note the Thread and Post counts are gone and reworded yet under the forum descriptions - that's how I can tell it's outdated so just install the newest version I released yesterday and let me know ;).

Was earlier whn I noticed it was the older version, just checked again and now the styles not up and it's a X-mas type of style. Don't forget you can set the default style in options and still allow members to change styles and have well.. lots of styles ;).

it at ver 4.18 still no change :(

I can't view it now to check, the X-mas style is all I can see currently.

To make sure there were no issues with your style I have spent that last couple of hours looking for any faults.

I found NONE!

As I PM'ed you the other day I have been working on an Olive Drab version of your style for a gaming group I am the webmaster of. If I ever finish it I'll PM you the addy.

fixed it! i had to change the layer in vbulletin chrome ccs. it was set to like 9999999

No matter if it's by me or made by one of my employees I don't release PSD's however it's easy to re-create, simply use a large font (white) and throw a border/stroke on it (grey) and your done :cool:.

The background image that suddenly cuts off halfway down the page was the only thing I sorta, kinda didn't like. So I added a few hundred pixels to the bottom of it. Again, thank you so very much for putting up with me and others that have bugged you to death about this style. But, I really do have to say this IS the best style of it's type in existence.

Well it's supposed to cut off where the color is the same as the background-color... so while it has a image that seems short it should blend right into the color set as the background. Are you saying that something in your version made it act differently?

Ahh it's no big deal, I don't mind at all my only pet peeve is what I mentioned in post #263 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2273754&postcount=263) but other than that I enjoy making styles... more so than modifications :cool:.

Do you know the setting which controls the width of the yellow forum title & the white description below it on the forum home page shown in your images above?
Currently a title/description will go to about 50% of the row then move down to the next row, I just can't figure out what controls that so I can set it to 100%.

I mean I truly appreciate the sentiment but I didn't join here ever expecting a donation :cool:. I was raised by my grandmother and in the South so I was taught that - "If a person tries to pay you for something, turn them down the first time and say it's not required because that's how people should be, if they try a second time then take the money so you don't offend them because some truly want to be kind by paying in the same manner your trying to be kind by not taking the money" and that has done me well to date, I must say that my Grandmother is one smart woman ;).

As you can see the text currently stops along 50% of the bar, I would like to have the text run to the end of the bar.
I have already remove the last post details but I can find no option within any divs to set the width of the text area.

I am still playing with your style. And here is what I noticed. When using option replay with quote in FORUM , quote is placed in transparent box with black outline (see left attachment). Black color is hardly visible. However, in BLOG you used different approach (see right attachment). Here you used lighter shades of background retaining black outlined box. Interestingly the small black outline of the triangle being black gives the awkward results (I highlighted that area in yellow box.

Could you make "quoting" consisted in both BLOG and FORUM by either change outline color to white (for better visibility), or fix that triangle? That would be great.

In any <div> no matter what (not all like this and prefer simply using class="mydefinition") you can add in style="width:225px;" to the <div> code even if it has a class to try and overwrite or simply wrap it in another <div> w/ a class assigned.

So therefor yes, you will be required to edit a little in order to make it match your style and settings such as thread title length and more if you've made changes. Edit: Ahh ok I misread part of your reply initially... removing last post by... actually you should be able to sort most of this via a few simple changes in css, hiding some parts in additional.css by using display:none and then a template edit or two including maybe vbulletin.css or vbulletin-chrome.css I would have to look because off the top of my head I can't think about all the templates and what to modify however I've done that before so it can be done ;).

I am still playing with your style. And here is what I noticed. When using option replay with quote in FORUM , quote is placed in transparent box with black outline (see left attachment). Black color is hardly visible. However, in BLOG you used different approach (see right attachment). Here you used lighter shades of background retaining black outlined box. Interestingly the small black outline of the triangle being black gives the awkward results (I highlighted that area in yellow box.

Could you make "quoting" consisted in both BLOG and FORUM by either change outline color to white (for better visibility), or fix that triangle? That would be great.

Just to let you know in case you had not already, your style renders beautifully on both an iPad and a Nook. I was at a restaurant tonight with some of my hunting buddies and brought up my site on my iPhone. Two of my friends brought my site up on a iPad and the other on a Nook. The site looked so darn good on them that when I got home I deleted the style I had just for mobile devices.

- To add some shadow edit template additional.css and find:

I have downloaded and installed this theme and so far it is great! My only issue is when I changed the logo the header width spreads outside of the page. When I edited the logo I used the exact same hight and width.

Would you ever consider replacing the default navbar in your theme? The vBulletin one isn't that great looking or overly user friendly.
Something with oval buttons and nice drop downs when you hover over them might look nicer rather than just a bar.

If that would be too difficult perhaps just add an extra navigation sort of like on this theme at the top right:

I could do it myself but I found it hard making it look exactly like the rest of the theme (shadows/border).
My favourite way of doing it would be to take the area where your current navbar is and replace it with a navigation similar to that in the above theme (very top right).

Not trying to sound any way but funny when I say this however "You don't seem like the quitting type" :D meaning that any error or whatever you have read into here that is confusing you should not. If anything ever confuses you namely a problem then wait for a fix - now you can do nothing but upload a folder and import the styles .xml files and on top of that mitch, if your not wanting to post due to the language difference... PM me and if need be I'll use Google Translator... hey it won't be perfect but I will try to work with you which is the bottom line.

Please forgive the OT but, some of these folks must obviously be doing something wrong.

With a fresh install and no changes your style works perfectly. I think a lot of the problem folks have is because of other mods and or template changes that interfere with the styling.I have a fresh Vbulletin install and never had any mods installed before this style was installed, only after and the problem was the same

If this is the case, did you make sure that all appropriate files were correctly uploaded to your server. Something might have to go wrong, I would guess.

I have A LOT of modifications and edits (over 100). And typically all my templates / skins are a signed as "child skins" to the system default. Saves on having to edit all of them one at a time.

This was obviously an oversight and you have my deepest apologies.

I assume this would go into the footer (correct?).

Could you please point me where and exactly what I should add here to restore your footer link?

The first thing I do when buying a new pc is remove all the junk they put on it, you are right. But, what if every pc came with photo shop? Your style is far better than some of the junk I see on here. I don't mean to offend anyone but, I see styles on here and other sites that are nothing more than an added background image with a transparent body. Whenever I open a link and see that, I immediately either close the browser or hit the back button. That type of styling reminds me to much of a myspace layout.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. :cool:

Hmm the blue bar of the CMS tells me that either:

1) Your using a older version of this style OR your vB version is older either or there.
2) Your simply didn't install all of the .xml files is using the version for 4.1.8 or above.

Not sure why the search box has a 2-3px border around it either instead of 1px but again, the screenshot tells me you took a wrong turn somewhere :(.

How are you adding those images in the navbar? Remember everyone this style does not automatically sense, adapt, and work out of the box with every modification or style enhancement you try to put in place so some adjustments based on how you have customized your site will be required from time to time.

I feel that many of you using the 4.1.8+ version of the style are simply not installing and merging the three required CMS/Forum/Blog .xml files correctly and that's why I keep repeating to change the same stylevars over and over and over again. Help me help you by reading the instructions carefully :cool:.

I did a no no and failed to mention that this started after upgrading to 4.1.10 if that makes any difference.

The things I tried before posting about the problem.

1. Downloaded latest version 4.1.8 Compressed and over wrote exsisting 4.1.8. Compressed with all 3 xml's. (did not work)

2. Removed all files and did complete re-install of style using the latest version 4.1.8. (did not work) and, using all three xml's

I'm very familiar with having to use 3 xml's as it makes perfect sense to me.

As you are probably very aware of my site is VERY low traffic, so I'm in no hurry whatsoever.

Thanks for putting up with all the aggravation as I am aware you have other things to do than babysit rookies :)

In order to help solve my issue I'm going to revert my vb to 4.1.8

I am very curious to see if it's in fact a 4.1.10 issue. I'll post results sometime later this evening.

UPDATE: I did a complete fresh install of 4.1.8 from 4.1.10 and the problem with the missing gap below the navbar is fixed now.

So, It look to me like the problem was due to the fact that this style has not been updated yet and I knew that when I tried it on the latest version of vb.

That's always a problem when the user gets in a hurry to see if the old style will work with the new vb. It's not the modder who is to blame, he did state that the last version of this style was for 4.1.8

Hello All,

I'm a vbulletin n00b, so be kind please. :)

I added the Avenger Blue theme when we installed 4.1.8 suite (my first experience with vbulletin administration). We went through the 4.1.9 upgrade with no problem, but now I have problems after upgrading to 4.1.10. It seems that most of the conflicts are with some of the templates last modified by TheLastSuperman, so 4.1.10 has changed some things which I now need to figure out what does and does not need repair.

There were a handful of Out-of-Date Custom Templates that were successfully merged, which I went ahead and opened (edit) and saved. But there are now 13 templates remaining.

So, using the FireBug Add-On for FireFox, I see that it is identifying vbcms.css is holding the style that needs to be edited and the Out-of-Date Custom Templates page confirms that this is one of the files that has a conflict.

Being the cautious coder, I want to back-up the original code in case I don't like what the upgrade recommends.

I have yet to figure out where the file vbcms.css is in order to back it up.

The other files that have conflicts are:
assetmanager.css
blog.css
editor.css
forumhome_forumbit_level1_post
member.css
navbar (I have found this one!)
popupmenu.css
sidebar.css
vbulletin-chrome.css
vbulletin-formcontrols.css
vbulletin.css
yuiupload.css

So, could I get some guidance as to where to find these css files?

Love the skin! However, like others I have a problem with the Profile and the Recent visitors bleeding over the box. I scrolled through the thread but I apparently missed the fix or if it was on the future fix list. I'm using 4.1.7 at the moment.

Thanks LOL... it's not a matter of needing to be cheered up, it's a matter of "Not enough hours in the day" and I've just been swamped recently... others have let me down and I've had to pickup their slack (the bums!) and when that happens I must work long hours and that naturally means the normal schedule in regards to updating a style for a new version promptly, goes right out the window unfortunately :(.

If you could clone me... that would cheer me up however to be perfectly honest I feel that he would revolt as I would have him doing all the work and the original me would be spending every minute of everyday with the wife and kids so it still wouldn't help in getting the style update out any sooner but I would be much happier rofl!

here are some 4.1.10 "bugs" I found...

- In the blog area, the submenu (on top) is "overlayed" on the vBulletin standard navigation icons/buttons (index, forum, what is new...).

- Graphics in news are not been resize as set. For example if you set a graphic (via the newseditor) to "middle", it's still displayed in fullscreen on the frontpage.

Just updated my site to 4.1.10 and the only problem I can find with this style are the tabs in image below (in Blog area) being white.

The best suggestion I can offer is to delete the style and than install it again. It cured the problem. I believe some merging that the VB4.1.10 installer did was not giving proper results.

Zero, Nada and I mean zilch... why? Simple - Honestly I was cleaning a virus from a clients site roughly two weeks back and it hit me hard, something slipped by my security and I ended up having to reload my entire pc and wipe the external hard drive clean as well because it had "self-replicated" under new file names. Needless to say I was very hesitant backing anything up and retaining any data, so it seemed logical to simply wipe it all clean and reload it all from scratch to ensure any future work I was doing was from a clean PC as I don't risk anything truthfully.

Long story short I was close to having all the versions I mentioned (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2289951&postcount=358) ready until that happened. I honestly was being very hesitant in saying anything hoping that I could re-install my localhost and simply knock it out late one night but the virus fiasco put be ohh I'd say about 30 hours behind on all work, I lost custom styles and well more than that but I won't go into specifics. I can say that I do still plan on updating and releasing them all however it may not be promptly as some of you desire so my sincere apologies however I have been working non-stop to catch up and have nothing to say except, sorry I couldn't deliver a update in the timeframe you all expected :(.

er... i'm having a rather anoying issue. if some can help me out; when one has a birthday i'm shown only one (the same every time) user.

when no birthdays are on schedule everything is ok (none shown) but when there is, a specific user is shown. and only that user.

edit:
it turned out that the above mentioned in fact isn't a user but an "array" string.
so... what do we miss?

These misc issues your having must be due to you running this on 4.1.10 or 4.1.11 and if so then your best bet is to simply wait for the update ;).

I'm so close it hurts! Over the past week or two I've had time to:

Update the 4.1.8 version fixing many previously reported issues.
Created a 4.1.9 version from the 4.1.8.
Created a 4.1.10 version from the 4.1.9 (obviously with some fixes and it's still pending review plus some new adjustments for 4.1.10 version only ;)).

Once the 4.1.10 version is reviewed I'll be making a 4.1.11 version as well however here soon there will be a delay as I completely re-write this from scratch although I'm thinking of waiting until 4.1.12 or the one after before that's done.

Special thanks to everyone for being so patient, I'll try my best to release the 4.1.8 update, the new 4.1.9 and 4.1.10 versions this week :cool:.

Is it not possible to make a "quick release" (without rewriting everything) of your style, for vBulletin Version 4.1.11? I really like your Style but I can't wait any longer... in "consequence" I had to choose another style, altough I havn't found a better style than yours (until now) ;).

Hmm I don't see why you could not try the 4.1.10 version, it *should* work fine with 4.1.11 and you can simply report any bugs in this thread and I will address them accordingly.

The total re-write I'm not looking forward to honestly because it's quite a bit of work therefor I don't want to do that until 4.1.12 or higher is out but long story short I feel it's best to re-write a style from scratch every so often instead of trying to sort through countless template/stylevar/changes this way there's no question that it's a solid release without issues.

Whats the rush guys? As soon as it's updated there will be a vb update more than likely. And then we start all over waiting for another style update.

It looks to me like vb is focusing more and more on the mobile stuff so, I'm going to stop updating my style every time a new version comes out. It's just a losing battle to try to keep caught up on style versions.

I have decided in my case I'm going to start only updating my vb and whatever style I choose to every 6 months.

If I had a super slick style to maintain such as Superman has, I would announce that there will be an update every 6 months.

This is of course my opinion :)

Hey hey now oversight is the norm around here, you should know that by now GaryT lol :cool: but thanks for the reply and honestly everyone the Fixed Width versions are done I just need to change a little bit of the css and a few stylevars to make the Fluid Width versions of each vB version and then it will be released. Sorry if I'm not quick enough but if my actual clients found out I'm working on free styles when they have requests currently... well wouldn't you agree that would be unprofessional to not take care of them yet be working on free styles? Case in point therefor point being, patience goes a long way and comments like post #401 do not make me feel bad or work harder as it just is what it is :cool:.

Well to be perfectly honest, I've just made major changes to my normal schedule so I can contribute the full 20 hours a week on vbulletin.com please reference this announcement for more info https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/400942-Welcome-Michael-Miller-(TheLastSuperMan)-to-the-Support-Team so with that said most of my upcoming week is being focused on video tutorials and forum support along with a very in-depth article I'm creating on how to fix a hacked site (tons of tips & tricks and stuff to help owners restore their site :D) therefor it's going to be another week or so before I can update this.

If anyone would like a copy of the 4.1.11 or 4.1.12 versions I have updated (bear in mind they are fixed width only atm) to install and try please PM me, all I require is that you PM me a short list of any style related bugs after testing ;).

oh... is that the bests you could come up with? fishing? i wasn't disrespectful, i (we) just need to know if there is any solid roadmap avail. even if something is free, the more followers it has, the greater is responsibility...

Busy atm, 5 birthdays in the immediate family this month alone including my wife and two of my children so working for money and nothing more currently to make those kiddos happy and spoiled! No desire to even touch this style again until the first of next month.

I discovered this skin yesterday but am running 4.2, so sad to see it's not been updated for 4.2

I did test it to see how it works but have the advanced search alignment issue like everyone else and the home/forum tabs don't seem to update from the navigation manager in the admin pages.

Will keep subscribed to this thread incase it does get updated in the future.

I hope i am not too late, have installed this on my site running vB 4.1.2 and everything looks great. Had to do a few changes though.

My problem is there is one place i have had no luck with sorting. It is in the Profile pages. All the links are hidden from view as if they are transparent. See pic.

You should be able to Google this and find a good one, I believe there are both free and paid versions of several transparent styles going around at the moment we just can't discuss paid mods/styles respectively but you can find them by searching ;).

I found this too when i installed it onto a later version of vBulletin. I simply copied the 'Footer' template from another skin to the 'Avenger Blue' templates.

You should not install a theme where the notes specifically say 4.1.8 etc on a 4.2.0 or 4.2.1 board honestly. Also just so you know in the future you can go in via admincp and uninstall the skin OR alternatively click on any of the other styles "titles" to open up a new tab with your forum showing the style you clicked on.

I found this too when i installed it onto a later version of vBulletin. I simply copied the 'Footer' template from another skin to the 'Avenger Blue' templates.

This thread is like the greatest tease ever!

A lovely style, doesn't work on current versions, but Avros decises to tease us with a link to it updated on his site, but no actual style file.

And TheLastSuperman then teases us that he's discontinued it in favour of a style on his site (that gorgous thinng with the planet and space), but again, no style file.

This site should be renamed "you can look, but you can't touch dot com". :)

Yuuuup except:

That's not my site it's a clients of mine.
That style is not the one available here.
This style can be updated, usually reverting a few templates then re-applying the modification to a few CSS definitions sorts it perfectly.

As for my last bullet point; If you have any inclination or any gumption about you, it can be updated without much hassle. Styles are not that hard and firebug add-on for firefox makes styles sooooo easy it hurts without real pain mind you :p.

No not yet per the post above you:

Well the op posted way back that he had moved on to vb5 so to see him commenting on this thread still is hope.

The last post he made on his style was that he had been very busy and would get to it when he could. He has always been an honest person and you can bet he will upgrade it per his last post.

Well the 4.2.1 update is nearly done but past few days I've had to take care of a few people and almost done catching up! Once I'm caught up I'll finalize the 4.2.1 version and it should work just fine on 4.2.2.... let's see if I kick it into high gear I should be caught up tomorrow/Thursday then I'll wrap this up and release it ;).

Soon soon soon lol Holidays delayed me and still a few jobs to complete before I can finally sit down and wrap this up. FYI though the 4.2.1/4.2.2 version will initially release as fixed width only, fluid width will come at a later date I'm reworking some things and not sure if I will be able to release both at the same time - you have been forewarned lol :p.

Erm you would say this right after I post about releasing fixed width only for now LOL :p but tis ok I finished the Fixed width version last night but then when testing in all major browsers noticed a few issues (activity stream background colors etc nothing specific to browsers and other misc css that simply needs adjusting) so I should have it ready tonight I have one other style to knock out first (Catherine style finally :D) then I'll have this one up!

Before warned however that I've had 2 extra kiddos this entire weekend so that is one of my many excuses ROFL!

Avenger Blue for use with vBulletin 4.2.1 and 4.2.2 is out now! Fixed & Fluid widths available!

Go easy on me this is a rough draft and re-coded from a default 4.2.1 file only some css was copied over so there may be some aesthetic bugs please report them as you come across if any are found ;).

It is now set to the default style on my site if you want to see it somewhere else besides your testing environment.

Looking good! The only thing I noticed so far was how some of the toplinks shift slightly when hovering... that's a padding issue and I've corrected it in most of the links will get to that any day now and post a fix then include in revision :D.

Yeah not a big deal.
I also noticed when hovering over the subnavbar, the dropdowns don't change at all. Like hovering over the Quick Links, it does not change or alert that there is more info there, again no big deal.

Are you just using the style chooser in the navbar? Or do you have the language chooser as well?

Ok so in the mod options ensure you have this set to no:

Auto Deploy
Setting this to "Yes" will make the style & language selectors show in the navbar.

Set this to "No" to be able to use the variable, {vb:raw show.ozzmodz_style_lang_chooser} in your templates, to make it show where you want.

Then edit template ozzmodz_style_lang_chooser and find:
<div style="margin-bottom:35px;">

Replace with:
<div class="avbozzystyle">

Now in additional.css add this just below the .abimage css definition:
.avbozzystyle {
float:right;
clear:left;
height:25px !important;
background:transparent;
margin-top:-25px !important;
margin-right:45% !important;

Now in template header find:

I suppose so since the header and navbar have wrappers to do the height, background-image, borders etc - this is why I decided to have a look for mitch and just make it work then post a how-to ;).

Edit: Ahh so no, other styles unless they modified the header area the way I did should be just fine.

Nope it's good to go no changes required.

Hmm I want to redo the lastpostby to resemble this for Avenger Blue:
