Working OK on 4.1.9 with seductors fix.

2 issues though -

1) How do I get this working on the vbulletin CMS, so it comes up in articles?
2) I have a space after each glossary term in forum posts. E.G for "apples" it should be apples/oranges in a thread, it now shows apples /oranges.

I have icons turned off in settings, but I don't think the button is working as they are not showing even when selected.

Please help.

I have replaced all the "TYPE = MyISAM" to "ENGINE = MyISAM" in the product-vbglossar.xml

However, when "Add new entry", the error

Attached are the 2 files my programmer edited to fix the issues:

/forum/packages/vbattach/attach.php and /forum/packages/vbglossary/attach/glossaryentry.php

I cannot guarantee this will work so back everything up. Also if you have any issues, I will not be able to help you.

I got this each time I Goto Maintenance=>Update User Names

That's a real funny found, if the glossary is enabled this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=285479) membermap doesn't work right.

Hi there!

I bring a new update! If you use PHP5, you will find the following error:

PHP Error : Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated

If you use PHP4, you need to do this if you want to pass the value by reference:
$var1 =& new class1();
But in PHP5, by default is passed by reference, so you must do:
$var1 = new class1();

Due to that, If you use PHP5 you need to update your vbglossar.php.

I installed it yesterday on 4.1.12 p2 and is working fine. All it takes is just Seductor's fix which is just over writing one simple file that repairs the PM issue. Like with all mods on here, one should always read through the last pages of posts. Without Seductor's fix it won't work though for most versions.

The really only major downside to this mod is that you can't attach photos into the glossary. You are supposed to be able to but when you upload an attachment it just displays the link. When you edited the entry the photo displays though. Has anyone figured this issue out yet? The suggestion to changed the attach.php file in Vbull will not work for any newer versions and really not a file anyone should be editing anyway. If we can get the attachments to work that would be a major plus.

guys, if you want this mod to work, you have to look into my post: Post #278 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2400197&postcount=272)

Both members suggested a fix and I used the fixes and now things are fine.

P.S use the new product version made by murrtex (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?u=13279) in his post #259 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2357761&postcount=259) and the updated version of vbglossar.php by Seductor (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/member.php?u=436772) in his post #268 (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=2386788&postcount=268)

P.S: I had an error after upgrading to vb4.2.1 so I decided to share with you the fix.....
You need to download this php file in the post #184 and replace it with old one here:
/packages/vbglossary/attach/glossaryentry.php

This fixed my issue and no errors at all...

I have it installed as per the directions and its working fine for me with 4.2.0. However, the details of it is very messey in the user profile.

Can somebody suggest how to correct it? Attachment please.

I believe you need to modify your css for vb glossary mod. you can give us a link to your forum and pass you the modified css if you like,

if not, then you need to search your css templates for glossary and use chrome Inspection element tool through right click and see what needed to be edited and changed,,, :)

Is there any Chance to get this Mod under Vbulletin 4.2.5 working ?
After i read the fixes here and doing those on my site, i get Errors like :
Call to undefined method vB_DataManager::vB_DataManager()

This Addon is realy good, but at this state unusable. For sure the Author does not give Support here anymore, thts realy sh**

I can't get this work.
