View Full Version : Changing the subscription_payment_paypal template to include the username

Hi,
I've just migrated from 3.8 to 4.1 and I had a template mod which added some useful info to the PayPal emails I get for Paid subscriptions, such as the UserName and the UserId.
I'd like to make the same changes to vB4.
So the template is subscription_payment_paypal.
And the line in Vb3 was:
<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="$subinfo[title] Subscription of $userinfo[username] ($userinfo[userid])" />
and at the moment it is like this in Vb4:
<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="{vb:rawphrase x_subscription, {vb:raw subinfo.title}}" />
I have tried to work it out... but I think I have it wrong so have reverted it to ask for advice.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
Dave

Ok so lets turn this around by saying what I think should go there.
It's very difficult for me to test this as I don't have multiple paypal accounts and I don't want to stop the subscriptions working.

<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="{vb:rawphrase x_subscription, {vb:raw subinfo.title} Subscription of {vb:raw userinfo.username} ({vb:raw userinfo.userid}) }" />

Does this look right?

Ok I have sussed this with some helpful people and lots of PayPal refunds!

I guess its worth releasing this for others to use.

<input type="hidden" name="item_name" value="{vb:rawphrase x_subscription, {vb:raw subinfo.title}} of {vb:raw userinfo.username} ({vb:raw userinfo.userid})" />
