Members clone

I am in the process of opening another website.
I own ctvtec.com and now opening nyvtec.com
I want the current members of ctvtec.com to be able to login to nyvtec.com with their username and passwords from ctvtec.

I tried to copy the table 'user' in the database and put into the other database but it wouldnt work right.

Can someone please help me?

Also, is it possible to have just one members list for both sites or no? Would anyone suggest me doing that??

I looked into this a while ago and the answer was a big fat no... unless you get into some serious custom programing. I was trying to do exactly what you want to do and scraped the idea.
