Have you done these changes yet to your /index.php file?
http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3215Tried it. Didn't work.
You say it is only happening with some games and happened with ibProArcade too before you switched?
If you've done the relevent file edits and scores still aren't saving I'd check your server files to make sure you still have a gamedata folder for any game that isn't saving scores.
I won't go into the whole game converting/score saving process but if any IPB v32 game doesn't have a gamedata folder with the required files it won't be able to save the score and write it to your database.I see a gamedata folder in my arcade but nothing is in there besides an index file. What else is supposed to be in there?

When you download a IPB v32 tar file it will contain yourgame.swf, yourgame.gif1, yourgame.gif2, yourgame.php and a gamedata folder - which will have files within the folder - for example - YourGamev32DR.txt || index.html || v32game.txt
Every v32 game should have a folder in /gamedata. Check if those that won't save have folders or not. If they don't have folders and contents within the folders (like the above example) then you will need to re-download the tar file and upload the gamedata folder to your server (no need to re-install the game).
There has been a bug going around for years both on vBulletin and IPB arcades where gamedata folders can strangely disappear either on deletion or mass installation of games.
So if you can check for the above and see if that helps with your scoring problem

I asked this on v3arcade a few days ago and got no response. I have imported my ibproarcade into v3, but when using the conversion script on the v3arcade website it errored when trying to copy the games, now in my arcade i see the games list, scores, tournaments, but when I try and play a game there is no game to play it's just a blank box, this is for all the games installed
Anyone able to help? If we can't get this to import sucessfully we'll have to stay with ibproarcade

Did you try it with the default theme? I mean I am using it with my Vbulletin 4.1.1 and I do not see that error... Couldn't it be an edit from something else? Also too did you upload the latest update for VB 4.11?? Mine works fine checked all the links and everything works fine...
And the only time I had those errors was in the begining and I used those edits from
http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3215
And that fixed it fine but I didn't do those edits with the latest release of VB 4.1.1 or V3Arcade...
Also I would not use that edit with this version as I didn't have to use it this time!
Make sure you uploaded all of the files to the correct directory and make sure your not running some other version of V3 Arcade that might be conflicting!
Also too make sure just in case you might not have understood the folder that says "forums" doesn't mean you upload the files to a folder called "forums" it means those files in that folder are to be uploaded to your root of your forums! I mean it doesn't hurt to make sure you didn't make such a simple mistake!
"Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in [path]/includes/v3arcade_functions.php on line 203"
Those errors are saying that file doesn't exist that's why I am assuming you uploaded those files or some of them to the wrong directory! And it could be a theme edit issue from a previous installation is why I said try the default theme...

Did you disable the ibproarcade plugins?
Can you check on your server and see if your swf's were moved to the games folder?

Oh snap! After I installed the games, I deleted the games in the tar and zip folders.
So is that what did it?? I thought the tar files were just zip-like files. So your saying after the game is installed, it saves game scores in that same .tar and .zip file? WTF

No I mean if you have no folders within your gamadata folder for IPB v32 games that aren't scoring then you will need to re-upload the gamedata folders for those games.

Sorry stwan that reply was for Alex@Mk3OC
I can't reproduce the leaderboard error. The only thing I can think of is that you have a conflict with another plugin. I had an error similar to that on an early build of the arcade and it was caused by another plugin.
Maybe KW802 can shed some light on the error.

Hi Gemma
Thanks for the reply, I have checked and the games hadn't been moved to the games folder, I fixed this as the CHMOD to 777 hadn't been done, so re-ran the import and now all games have been imported, but the thumbnails for the games aren't showing on the arcade main page?
Thanks

I updated my forum from 4.1.0 to 4.1.1, the latest update. Anybody know why my games will not save after updating vBulletin to the latest 4.1.1 version? The Mochi Media games save scores just fine, but the games I added myself stopped saving the scores after the upgrade from 4.1.0.

Did you CHMOD the images/arcade folder before running the importer?
You should be able to transfer your images over from yoursite/arcade/images (ibproarcade) to yoursite/images/arcade (v3arcade) by downloading your current (ibpro) arcade images folder then uploading it to your yoursite/images.

I added this as per the directions on the V3 website and my FTP did not transfer/save the edited index.php file for some reason the first time.

I did it again and now it is all good.

After years of struggling with ibProArcade I finally made the switch to this arcade product and all I can say is I wish I had a long time ago. I spent all my time with the other arcade manually fixing bugs and site templates to make it work, and it still didn't work properly.
Removing that and performing the simple install for v3 Arcade was a real eye opener. This is how vBulletin products should be developed, and how they should be packaged for users to install and setup. Brilliant job. Keep up the great work.

The only thing I will say, which has been overlooked by many people installing the arcade is, if you are running either vB Suite CMS or vBadvanced CMPS you will need to make one small file edit to your index.php otherwise you will receive security token errors when submitting scores for IPBv32 games.
Suite CMS - http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3215
vBa CMPS - http://www.v3arcade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3407
You appear to have not uploaded all your files.
It's explained in the first line of Gemma's paragraph. You check the v3arcade_games table in your database for that fieldname. I take it you didn't do your own vB installation? The database is what you had to create in MySQL before you could install vBulletin. If you have cPanel, then you probably have phpMyAdmin, too, which will let you view the tables.
what is this?

I'm also having this same error code when trying to upload. I have transferred the entire 'forums' folder. Received that error, searched the forums here. I then went back and loaded the two files beneath 'forums' folder, "crossdomian" and "product-v3arc" hoping those were the files I was missing.
Still receiving the same error. Can anyone help me?
Really appreciate any help!

I have transferred the entire 'forums' folder.
Do you mean you uploaded the folder 'forums' or just the contents within the folder 'forums' to your server?
If your forumpath isn't www.mysite.com/forums/ then you should just be uploading what is inside the 'forums' folder archive to your server and uploading crossdomain.xml there too. (ie where your index.php, showthread.php etc files are)

Yes, my forumpath is www.site./forums/
I'm at a loss. I open my FTP, and look at the public_html and my directory which is also labeled "forums" and can see all the files transfered. Try to upload on in ACP and get that error. I must be doing something wrong I guess.
I'm using WS_FTP if that matters, and have binary and auto transfer ticked.

yin9 where are you seeing that error?
yin9 where are you seeing that error?
Hi, in View Leaderboard page, but i solved at the moment, with v3arcade_functions.php editing, and deleting Foreach function in line 203:
foreach ($vbulletin->v3a_awards[$userid] AS $gameid => $game)
{
fetch_arcade_award_img($game);
if ($vbulletin->options['v3profile_awardimg'])
{
$game['stdimage'] = $game['miniimage'];
}
$game['linktitle'] = construct_phrase($vbphrase['x_y_points'], $game['title'], v3_score_format($game['highscore']));
$templater = vB_Template::create('memberinfo_v3arcade_gamebits' );
$templater->register('game', $game);
$images .= $templater->render();
$show['isfirstgame'] = false;
}
Not the best option, but the error disappeared. Thanks. Greetings.
Is there a setting I'm not seeing to allow users access to the arcade?
Nevermind, found it. Dumb question :)

Checking in.... :)
For the issue with the error message when the leaderboard is empty, I'll add that to the list of items for the next refresh. The quick & easy answer is to just play a game so that the leaderboard is populated with at least one name but the real answer is that the function needs to be changed to not assume that there is always at least one value present.
Thanks for this great mod KW802, Marked as Installed, Nominated for MOTM, and rated 5 Stars.

Thanks for a great mod. We are having a problem the leaderboard not being populated with data (no high scores are being recorded) from the Mochi games. The crossdomain.xml file was uploaded to the same directory as the mochi.html file and cookies are set at 900 seconds.

Can you try this
Go to AdminCP > v3 Arcade > Manage Games and choose any game that isn't saving scores and make sure that 'Disable High Scores' is set to 'No'
If that doesn't help can you tell me if you're receiving any error messages when submitting scores?

great mod :)
just one question/suggestion?
When I've installed a game, it would be great to automatically announce it to the rest of the forum in a post somewhere. Using the games Title, description, category, instructions, image. Etc
Perhaps it could be made into an RSS feed, and then imported using the built in feed manager
Think it would be a great addition, but no idea how to do it.

I'm still randomly getting the "you do not have permission to access this page" error when submitting scores with IbProArcade games (vBulletin 4.1.2 and v3arcade 2.0.2).

Not one I've come across but you could try opening the v3arcade_postbit_userid_trophy_wrapper template and wrapping <div></div> around the code.

Thanks for this great mod!
Question- is there a way to modify the layout?
eg, I want to put a custom RSS widget to pull some articles from a gaming site on the sidebar instead of the 'logged in as' widget.
Or I want to put the 'recent forum posts' widget somewhere on the layout.
Thanks

It doesn't let me unzip the file on my Mac. Something is up with this I think...please look in to it.
Thank you!
Did you get it to extract? Have you tried downloading from v3arcade.com?

Where are the categories and games stored? I can't find where this info is being pulled from. Could it be in a DB somewhere? If so, what are the files so I can have them removed.

They were originally from IPB install but then I followed the install directions to install v3arcade. I am guessing they are in the same place being that I am seeing them in v3 and IPB files were removed and it was uninstalled.

I really don't know what you're trying to do, are these categories from a previous install (IPB or v3 Arcade) or is it the default categories that are installed with v3 Arcade that you want to remove?
The categories for v3 Arcade can be found by going through AdminCP > v3 Arcade > Game Categories
The database table is v3arcade_categories.
You can also check which games are in a specific category by going to AdminCP > v3 Arcade > Manage Games and selecting a category from the dropdown menu.
I've not used IPB arcade for years so i couldn't tell you off the top of my head what the database table is for games categories using that.

I am sorry for not being clear. I am not good at this stuff.
I have a ton of games from when I had IBP. I originally wanted to go to v3 and keep all the existing games and scores. My server crashed and I lost all the game files. I need to get rid of the games that are showing up in my v3arcade being that there is no game files for it to reference.
I know I can hide categories, etc. Also, can delete each game, one by one. I would like to get ride of all of them at once.
If not, I guess I will just have to delete each one.
Sorry again.

Doesn't uninstalling v3 Arcade remove the database tables? Then re-install the product to start over again?
If you run this set of queries via phpyAdmin it will empty all your database table contents but keep the tables
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_categories`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_challenges`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_favorites`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_games`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_news`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_ratings`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_sessions`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_tournamentplayers`;
TRUNCATE `v3arcade_tournaments`;
Or running this should delete them altogether allowing you to re-import the product
DROP TABLE `v3arcade_categories`, `v3arcade_challenges`, `v3arcade_favorites`, `v3arcade_games`, `v3arcade_news`, `v3arcade_ratings`, `v3arcade_sessions`, `v3arcade_tournamentplayers`, `v3arcade_tournaments`;

There is documentation on v3arcade.com which gives you instructions on how to setup a Mochi account and have access to 1000s of games (ie legal games).
Also all of your previously installed IPB game types are compatible with the arcade.....there are tons of sites that offer these games - a google search will find them (not allowed to post links here sorry as most of those games are converted without author consent ie illegal)
And there is a small selection of v3Arcade games on v3arcade.com

Yes, Mochi Media games work with the highscore system. Make sure you have the crossdomain.xml, which comes with the v3arcade archive, uploaded into your site root. Also ensure that the games you are installing are Leaderboard Enabled
It does appear that Mochi Games (leaderboard enabled ones) are installing with high scores disabled as default, you can check any Mochi Games you've installed and make sure the Disable High Scores is set to No by going to AdminCP > v3 Arcade > Manage Games and clicking on any game which doesn't save scores.
To have the games automatically enable highscores when installed do the following file edit:
Open your v3arcade_admin.php and find:
$gameperms += 8; // disable scoring
Change it to:
$gameperms += 0; // disable scoring
I'm not sure which version of the arcade you're running but it appears twice in v 2.0.3 - change both if it occurs twice.

1. Are you wanting to remove the navbar tab and place a link in the Quick Links/Community Links menu? I think doing this would disable the arcade subnav links - Arcade Games, View Leaderboard, New Games etc
2. AdminCP > Plugins & Products > Manage Plugins > disable Awards Plugin Postbit

thanks, why was it disable on default? can't of weird. now i have to delete all the games installed and install all over. cause i don't want to go through each game and edit them. i did a one click install for 30 or so games.

You can but it would require editing the files of IBP Arcade, mainly searching for any reference to arcade.php and changing it to ibparcade.php (or similar) and then making sure that all references in subsequent files pointed to the new php file, it would also require some templates edits.

The site you're likely think of is Mark.B's site, BC Forums. I'll leave it him to explain his setup, if he so chooses, but there is no way to run both of the arcades on the same installation unless you modify the code in one or the other. And, even then, you'll run into some limitations.

There's mine, and there's also Stangger5's site, Next-Level Arcade, which also runs both.
You have to take one of them aand change all instances of /arcade/, arcade.php etc to something else.
In my case I took ibproarcade and did that, so for example my main arcade file is now ibproarcade.php.
The files clash, the databases do not.
It's quite a task and not for the faint hearted.
You then find that ibpro games won't run on v3arcade due to the way ibpro uses index.php. However I remember stangger5 once saying he'd got round this, but I don't know how. I didn't pay much attention to the problem since when you have both arcades running, being able to interchange the games isn't really an issue.
I can confirm that when running both together Mochi games work on v3arcade as well, as I've recently implemented that.

I read of this before, but I have to say I was running both arcades on vB3.x for many years and as far as I can remember, I never encountered any database clashes, it was always just the files and folders.
Mind if the borrow the design of the mini-layout a bit? Will help with one less edit for you in the future.
Feel free to take any aspects of the design, you will probably be able to code it better than me (if you saw how I'd got the rows of boxes on v3arcade it'd make you cry...with laughter!)

Hi, nice arcade ;)
I'm wondering if this is happening to anyone else:
For basically any other game I import besides the stock ones that came with this download, the high scores doesn't work. What I mean by this is: I get the score, and then it gives me a permissions error, and the score doesn't save.
Any fixes for this? Thanks.

Yes I've verified it, and the .xml file was detected by the server and everything.
I have standard issue Chrome, and also FireFox.
Remember, this only works for games I have imported, not the standard issue.
Also, almost immediately after showing a high score list, the screen changes to a "You do not have permissions to access this page" error, which I believe is preventing the score from saving somehow.

You either upload games (tar/zip format) to your admincp/games folder via FTP, set up a Mochi account and import them through your AdminCP or there is a selection of sample v3a games on v3arcade.com that you can import or you can manually add games.

I've used both ibProArcade and v3Arcade in the past for my forum. I have yet to install an arcade after an upgrade to vB 4.x.
I was ready to install v3 and then was notified that DragonByte will be releasing their new "vBArcade" at the end of the month. I don't, necessarily, have any allegiance to them. If IPB Scores Are Not Saving With vBulletin CMS

Add above:
require_once('./includes/v3arcade_vbsuite_index_compatibility.php');

I'm sorry we did get notices that we had failed to advance. I Have not looked at the symptoms in the fix above but I think I may have to do that anyhow.
my most urgent question is were do I edit what templates to put a chat box in the games and main arcade pages. without putting in the forums.

In the v3ARCADE_MAIN and v3ARCADE_PLAY, most likely adding the code just below {vb:raw navbar} but you'll need to ask in the chatbox thread about how to display it only on certain pages.

It was working perfect until I upgraded to the most recent vbulletin update. Now the games show up just white space and if I right click, it states that the flash has not loaded yet. Every game does the same thing. Its basically the default template with modified colors/logos. Here is the url. http://www.tomosmopeds.org/forum/arcade.php

Have you edited any of the arcade files (php files)?
Make sure there is no white space after the ?> tag in the arcade.php file

Hi,
Just a hint and what I do with the scripts I write for people is that last ending ?> tag on a php page, I leave it out. That removes problems with white space at the bottom of any php page. It's not really needed as it''s the last one and I have never had white space issues on any server I worked on after I started leaving it out.
I got the idea from Zencart which does it. It's not really needed since PHP will end when the end of file (EOF) is reached anyway.

Did you edit it? Works fine at my end and it's a great script. Any attempt to set cookies must be done before any other output. A white space above <?PHP is considered output. First look for output before set_cookie or any header statement. Both are problem children if you already started sending output. Any HTML before set_cookie is also output that will cause this error.
You can use output buffering to send output prior to the call of this function, with the overhead of all of your output to the browser being buffered in the server until you send it. You can do this by calling ob_start() and ob_end_flush() in your script, or setting the output_buffering configuration directive on in your php.ini or server configuration files.
I usually run set cookies like this:
ob_start();
set_cookie(PARAMS HERE);
ob_end_flush();
This gets me around the set_cookie problem when other output has already been sent, which can also be an echo or print_r or similiar.

Gemma

Try placing it above
require(INDEX_SCRIPT);
So it looks like this
require_once('./includes/v3arcade_vbsuite_index_compatibility.php');
require(INDEX_SCRIPT);

Why are there multiple highscore entrys for each person? Why is there not a overwrite function? I think it's not a good idea to have an user different times in the highscore list.
Any fix for that? Don't like this feature.

I've just installed Cube Crash to try it out and it loads and plays fine.
Have you updated your flash player lately? Also try deleting the flash player cache - http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

You're welcome. The index.php files must be structured differently for different languages :o
