The referrerid query string is available globally on the forum as it stores as a cookie (I believe), it's generally just easier to use on the register page.

Also, this is vb3 discussion so forum.php doesn't exist by default.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize it was for vb 3. My bad.

Still, it should be index.php as not all visitors are there to register until they have a chance to view what is on the site.

I have seen users put off with a site that sends them straight to the register page when they visit using a link like that. That is why it is always best to use the index.php in the link.
