Hey there all,

Can someone tell me how to allow the users of my forum to upload PNG avatar's please? I have been using vbulletin for some time and can not find this option lol?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated ;)

They should be able to use Pngs fine as default mate
Tho PNG are normaly a few more (bytes) in size check your Usergroups make sure they can upload a little bigger :D

Yeah I have them set so they can but when they upload they have white BG's?

White Page after upload or the PNG have white backgrounds?

Also are you using GD or ImageMagick

Yeah If the members use direct link option then they get a white background on the image.. Yes using GD..

wait a sec do you see the image but it has a white background or is all the image White?

If you have a Dark Skin this is normal for a image with transparent background under GD
i had the same problem some time ago

Could be wrong but am sure this happend to me

Can you link me a image you have tryed and i will test myself

I think ImageMajik handles PNGs better than GD, doesn"t it? I have a PNG header logo that is transparent on the default blue header background and it looks fine. But I use ImageMajik on the server so that might be part of it.

Allright it works fine for me
and i even tryed GD for you and it works still hmmm
no idea than mate (sorry :/ )

Check the MIME type for PNG images in your admincp.
