auto save forum post?

Wordpress has this nifty feature where it auto saves the post while you type it, and it's very useful for long posts (common on forums as well)

Is there a way to auto save posts as users type it, in vBulletin?

I don't really think this is the server's responsibility - I mean, look at the added load - you'd have to monitor each character typed! Rather, it should be a default feature in browsers.

Firefox has Lazarus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6984). But I've had some trouble with it and have it disabled right now.
