wondering what cause this error... i can't seem to find where my error is

It is caused by an old plugin.

guessing you just upgraded to vb4 from 3.x

Disable all your modifications where you also install them, via the dropdown..
now just enabled them one at a time, to see which one causes the problem.

But in general VB3 modifications will not run on a vb4 board,
unless its pure php. but as soon as it has to do with showing something
to the users or adding features it will not be compatbable.
