That's a vague question. The font color of what? You can change the font color of everything from the Showroster group templates or showroster.css template. I suggest changing one thing, check to see what your changes did, and then keep trying till you get the desired change.

Installed and working fine... kinda... I've trying to use multiple showrosters with ?id=# and it seems to be working fine except its not showing all the members in the specified usergroup.

for example, i have a usergroup with 65 primary members and 1 secondary member, when i pull it up it only shows 36 members... am i missing something?

@nando - It could, but that would require extra coding. The coding is in the templates already if you want to play with the code. This is how I started learning php.

I think I am very reasonable considering I charge a small percentage of what I make in my day job.

This mod has over 200 installs and maybe only 10% are MMO gamers. Many of the people that post here have either links to their sites in their profiles or have posted them. With so many installs, it can't be that hard to install can it? I post here when people have problems with installs and try to help out the best I can.

Assigning additional usergroups would be the best way to go about it. You would then put them in order of how you want them displayed.

I don't recall having any font color within the showroster, so I'm not sure where you are getting that. I especially don't have any red. If you are getting this from the page source code, that won't work b/c that is a combination of code from various sources.

Some places may allow you to adjust color from the template code. For anything wrapped around something with an ID in it will need to be adjust via css. The css template can be accessed via the Style Manager -> CurrentStyle -> CSS Templates -> showroster.css.

1. Looking at your example roster on your guild site, the tab "Skills" you have your members enter 3 professions/skills. How do you get it to separate them by line like that to be displayed like this?:

Because on my website, no matter what I do makes it look like this all in one line?:

2. Using the additional feature "ShowRoster Group Settings", you have it selected to gather the data from 1 column of the 8 total.

Looking at your website, you have 4 different group titles for Class Role Statistics with each class name and the class role types per group name. This mod only allows us to gather statistics from 1 column, so I'm confused how you have yours setup unless the roster you provided us doesn't have that function?

Certainly, it's a really awesome roster mod. I was looking at your forums between the rift one but I intend to use it for Star Wars: The Old Republic which is working out really well. @Andreas - You may be able to use the width setting in the SHOWROSTER template, but I'm going to guess it is something in the showroster.css template. The class id for the columns will be: showroster_columnhead.

I'm trying to fit your field ID's/column groups with my own and match them up.

Also, I'm wondering. For each of the 3 professions, did you make a field for each one, if so I might have an idea but I don't know if I should just paste that code on the bottom or input it in parts of the existing userbits.

I also tried registering on your forums to get an example of your profile fields to get a better understanding but the email validation code system doesn't work. It doesn't let me enter a "2nd email" for verification, there is no line for it. As a result, I cannot register : /

I might try a little later, but as far as I can tell(without editing the core code) you could just copy this plugin for how many games you have and add a drop down to goto the php file of choice.

Hello all. The college semester is finally over. I have about a month of free time till the summer semester begins so I will gladly answer some questions.

Keep in mind, I really don't support this mod regularly anymore, but I try to stop in now and then to help out.

To my knowledge, it should work with all upgrades to vBulletin unless they change certain parts of the core code.

I am also going to be working on a lite version of my new RIFT Roster mod now that I have some time (one that will be usable in any game like this one is). I also have some other ideas in mind.

For those of you having problems using this mod as a multiple game roster or something similar, please check post #3 in this thread. If you still have problems, ask your questions again and I will try to reply to it within a couple hours to a couple days.

In addition to the overlaping navigation issue in 4.2, I have also noticed that "primary sort" sorts by usergroupid even when "title" is selected.

I've been messing with my own project and wish to display results of a query into seperate groups like you have on your roster home page but cannot find out how to do it.
My database has two tables, one with the user details and another with the ranks of each user, linked by the rank_id to the char_rank field in my user_details table.

I would like to display the results like this:

Guild leader
(lists all members of this group)

Officer
(lists all members of this group)

Could you point me in the right direction, maybe a link to how it's done or tell me where in your roster code that it does this.

As you can guess, I'm a beginner in this kind of thing ;)

Hoplomachus, If someone can help they will, just be patient and polite, they do not have to help you and being impatient expecting an answer will just make people not want to help you.

Think about it.

In the meantime, try uninstalling the roster and reinstalling, following all of the installation instructions exactly.
Also, read through every post in this thread and see if anyone else has had the same problem and if so, then how did they resolve it?

Thank you for this fix its working now ...

Just 2 other small issues to try to resolve that im sure will drive me nutz is ...

2. Now i got to figure out how to center the 1st UserName field as you can see from pic there left justified.

3. Displaying sort by rank you can see whats happened its throwing ranks all over the place.

No problem buddy. To center it go to:

showroster.css and find the following:

#showroster_table td:first-child {
text-align: left;
}

change it to:

#showroster_table td:first-child {
text-align: center;
}

for the ranks to be in order go to show roster settings :

Usergroups displayed on the roster (comma separated ID list). The order of usergroups are how they are displayed ONLY when using 'title' as your primary sort field below.

use commas to seperate each and you will get them displaying in the order you want them.

how do I go about changing the color of the information within the actual tables? I don't want to use a stylevar.... just a color specified in the CSS... for some reason I can't get it to work though.

Thank you for this mod. It took me a lot of work to figure out how to get the cells lined up so that they dont jolt left and right from each user group. I hate tables. Which gets to my first question, will you update this mod so it uses <div>s? they are so much easier to work with when trying to change settings.

Im also wondering how to remove the dividers between Default Sort and Sort Options? As you can see here:

Here is a step by step instruction:

1. Go to AdminCP>Plugin & Products> Add New Plugin

2. From the drop down select Showroster Mod
3. From the second drop down select navigation_tab_complete

4. Then copy and paste the following:

$tabid = '';
}

5. Then make sure you change "Plugin is Active" to yes.
6. Save and reload.

I was hoping this would work on 4.2.0 PL3 but it didn't.

Click 'Add Tab'.

Is there a way to set up 2 pages, one for clans, one for guilds, possibly a third for a teams page for FSP's like Call of Duty?

Funny, that was exactly what I was wrapping my head around :)

I think I managed to get most of the behaviour I was looking for, couple of things that might be interesting for a future version. I've moved the sorting function to the column headers and included an onmouseover highlight for example, felt a bit more intuitive than a pulldown menu. And a selected column will also be highlighted with a (lighter) colour. I've made quite a few code changes and they're probably somewhat messy, but they're all working and if you want to see if there's anything useful in there I can mail you the files.

I have not looked at the code in this mod in a long time. I'm impressed that it is still used.

Anyhow, I was contacted earlier this week and finalized a deal on a new roster mod last night. I started work on the lite version today. I will have a plus version with additional features as well.

If anyone has a valid request that can get support from at least two others, you can post them over at my website (http://sacredhaven.org/forumsh/showthread.php?10871-Sarcoth-s-Roster-Mod-%28Preliminary%29). I really don't follow this thread anymore though, so don't post suggestions here for the new mod.

@Barteh, I'm not sure how useful it would be to me since I am rebuilding the new mod without even looking at this [old] code. My coding style has changed over the years so I'd rather approach it from another angle. I do appreciate the offer nonetheless. Thank you.
