Probably not. If you are not using tags propositions, then you do not need ignored words at all.

You broke separators. So now according to your configuration tag X will be added only if in message there will be ,X, - not wise so set such configuration. I bet you even removed space from there... Go back to default one - you will find it in product file.

i am manually giving tags to old threads and it takes too long to tag them all
i got like a million topics

Suggestions:
1) A page to modify 'Disapproved' tags.
2) Tag search function, especially for the Tags Proposition page.
3) Incorporate the vbulletin code to remember selections between pages on the tags proposition page, such as on the vb tag.php page.
4) Perhaps change the checkboxes on the propositions page to 3 radio buttons, where it is 'Approve', 'Disapprove', 'Ignore'. Also include buttons at top of each page to 'Select All Approve', 'Select All Disapprove', 'Select All Ignore'. Default being Ignore.
That way, you won't need to go through everything twice, once to disapprove, and once to approve. You could do it all in one shot.

From what I understand, the ignored list is only for when the mod creates tag propositions.
If those words are being added as tags, you need to delete them from your tag list.

I need some assistance. I'd like to have the system avoid using tags for words like "hey" and "tha" or "hat". How is this being done? And once these tags have been created, is there a way to remove them? I'm running the process to tag over 200,000 threads and so many words are broken and useless like "tha".

I went into Tags Propositions and removed any words that I didn't want to show up as tags - as well as set these words in the vBulletin standard settings...

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just uninstalled the stupid Zoints tags and I'll be losing a lot of Google traffic until these new tags get picked up...

Great mod, but it is not working for me in 4.0.6. I tried adding a new thread and I didn't see tags being automatically added. Even after I posted the thread and looked at the bottom of the thread where the tag cloud is there where no tags there. I know 4.0.6 just came out though. Could this be updated for that version in the future when you have the time?

Running v4.0.6

No errors, just no output.

After submitting a new thread there are no new tags in the tag box near the bottom.

What would be nice is when you are finished typing your message to be able to click a link at the bottom, right next to the tag box to automatically add the tags before submitting the thread. Maybe using AJAX to do the work. Then you can delete tags that aren't relevant and add some that need to be added before you post it up.

Just a thought :)

Oh I found a way to have them all checked by default I'll say how just in case anyone else has a lot of threads and just a few propositions you would like to uncheck. It involves editting a file.

Go to the upload folder > admincp > propositions_autotaggerfromcontentandtitle.php

Find:

I just added checked="checked" to the input.

If you want to change the number of propositions displayed on the page here's how (though keep in mind your server timing out, my server worked fine with it set to 250)

In the same file find:


$max_per_column = 15;


..and replace 15 with the number of propositions you'd like to be shown per column on each tag proposition page.

It works on my forum (4.1.2). I can see tags being instantly auto-created for new threads and replies and all seems to working as previously. I have 'quick reply' disabled on my forum though so I'm not experiencing the issue described by Wesooby above. That would seem to be the only problem with using this mod in 4.1.2 though.

vb4 does auto-tagging also, right? how do you know that
vb is just not adding its normal tags?

Yeah it seems the only thing it isn't doing is adding it to quick replies but the way I see it this thing can still be extremely valuable in that you can tag all the old threads in the meantime and at least new thread creations are creating the proper tags. Frankly I plan on only setting it to take tags in the opening thread not in replies anyways.

I checked to see if it was tagging old threads properly and it does.

Here are two things that I have noticed that also need fixing:

1) Priority of tags if you exceed the maximum number of tags allowed. How does it decide which ones get used? May need to set a priority lits.
2) THIS ONE IS HUGE: need a select all and also a way to view all tag propositions at once. I accidentally clicked create tag propositions based on old threads and it pulled up 450 pages of propositions and it only allows me to delete or add them one at a time, which is impossible.

Other than that this seems like an extremely powerful mod.

At this moment I'm very busy and constantly out of time. I will definitively develop more features in tagger (like tagging for blogs and so on), still I cannot promise any time schedule.
I have lot of feature requests for my paid mod vBET and I have obligations to people who paid me for using it. So thread tagger as free mod have lower priority, but it is still alive and will be developed. Hope that anyone who paid at least one time for software understood why I want to take care about our customers.

I was PM that tagger is not working on newest vB version. Can somebody confirm, or disapprove it? Is it really not working or it is again mistake because someone didn't read how it is working... No one have it working on newest vB version?...

Please check option which has separate signs. I assume that you didn't gave real example. I think that in real one you have special letters (some accents) and one of signs writen in separator parameter just cuts it. Iw will be best if you PM me all details:
- access details to Admin CP (I will play with configuration)
- detailed information about what to write in new post title and content to reproduce the issue.

Other possibility is that there is a bug ;)
And other one that something was messed up in configuration
And other possibility is that you already have all those tags so those are applied (still shoudn't if wort is inside of other one).

By default this mod do NOT create any tag - only associate existing one to appropriate threads. It is fully configurable - it will create new (not defined yet tags) only if you ask for it.

Also please keep in mind tha tvBulletin has parameter which limits max number of tags per thread and this mod respects it :)

Ignored words for proposition do not remove anything. Just makes the mod ignore those words for new mesages.

Imn tagger userid is taken by:
$userid = $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'];
And this gives number not string. In your case the issue is because as userid you have set 'blinc'. Please make sure that nothing is changing your vBulletin userinfo. I just checked all places of tagger code where such query is executed - userid is taken same way. So this is probably some other mod issue. According to vBulletin architecture $vbulletin->userinfo['userid'] should give you user id - number not string (username). Please check for conflicts with other mods.

I have run into an issue which is potentially related to the settings we are using (although nothing pops out to me as being the cause) in short when a user posts a topic which contains the following words for example: swans, sydney - it will attempt to create tags for them and rightly so however both tags are synonyms to the word 'sydney swans' and vB obviously informs the user it's moved the tags to the synonym - however this creates a loop as on resubmission it attempts to re-add the word sydney, swans - any ideas ?

I have new ideas for future features.

It would be nice if I could use wildcards in tag related words (for example when a user writes "doggy" and there is already created the tag "dog" with a related word "dog*", there will be added the tag "dog" to the thread.

Also, is it possible to include an option to add tags to a thread even if the author of a thread does not use diacritic characters? So if someone writes "dvere" instead "dveře", the word "dvere" will be recognized as the tag "dveře" and added on the list of tags.

Just installed this and am giving it a test. Seems to be doing fine, but offers me a little quirk.

I have a keyword "ice" and it tags posts with it where it sees "notice" or "service" which is a bit of a problem. Not huge, but a bit awkward. I see why it does it though and can't think of a sensible way to not do it unless I add all words ending in "ice" into the ignore list.

Will keep it on for now and see what else it throws up. Liking the idea a lot though.

I can't really see a way to use this. If you create proporisiotns form old thread titles, you get thousands and thousands of pages of proposed tags which you then ahve to approve/disapprove manually. The majority of them are things like this:

I had the same issue, make sure that you run the autotagger in a separate page so you can see the URL at the top, it should look something like this:

http://www.YOURSITE.com/admincp/misc.php?do=autotaggerfromcontentandtitle_add_tags&startat=350&perpage=50

When you run it and you see where it's getting stuck you can rewrite the URL to start a couple pages past that number. So if you're getting stuck at 17002 your new url would be

http:// www. YOURSITE .com /admincp/misc.php?do=autotaggerfromcontentandtitle_add_tags&startat=17004&perpage=50

it will pick up where it left off. I had over 350,000 threads so mine got stuck a few times. I also recommend reducing the number per page as well, as you can see from the example I used 50.

I have had this mod installed since I went from vb3 to vb4 about a year ago. It has never worked for me and I finally wanted to post and ask for help. I have everything installed correct but no tags are ever added.

I run the scheduled task and also in maintenance area of the admincp I run add tags to all threads and that process runs and says 0 tags added.

This thread has 29 pages and 430 posts and I went through some of them looking for someone that had the same issue as I do. I did not come across any one.

When i have the default files installed, users get many lines of the following error (the page is finally loading after a user submits a new thread though and all those lines with the error are disappearing):

This mod will not work with vb 4.2.5 IF running php 7. It will work under PhP 5.6

If you try to make an advanced reply while running this mod, or post a brand new thread, while running PhP 7, you will get an error such as this:

Try changing in functions_autotaggerfromcontentandtitle.php

(line 85) return implode(',', $csv);


to

return explode(',', $csv);


and

(line 13) return implode(' ', $text);


to

return explode(' ', $text);

In my file functions_autotaggerfromcontentandtitle.php the lines were:

line 85
return split(',', $csv);

line 13
return split(' ', $text);

but I changed the world split to explode in both lines:

line 85
return explode(',', $csv);

line 13
return explode(' ', $text);

and seems to work now! without error in PhP 7 and the tags are being added.

I am not sure if this has to do with it, but ever since we
installed the most recent Node.js version of 14.5.0 on the server and confirmed it's accessible for both the root user as well as the other users.

[root@host ~]# node -v
v14.5.0

[______@host ~]$ node -v
v14.5.0

now all attempts to post a URL in a forum post result in a 504 bad gateway error. This bad gateway error is happening only at my vbulletin 4 site (that is running this mod), it is not happening when URLs are posted in posts at my vbulletin 5 forums.
