Since I have upgraded to VB4 RC2 I am having problems with the smilies. When you go to post a new thread/pms or reply smilies are showing up as BB Code to the right. Shown in images below:
107469
107470
I have hundreds of smilies and was trying to do this so as not to have to change the path for each one.
Where do I put:
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.yoursite.com/forums/images/', 'images/')
And how do I do this? I tried putting the code above in admincp in the Execute SQL Query section in the Manuel Query box but that didn't work.

I finally figured out why it was not working. I don't have my forum in a "forums" folder. I have it on the domain itself. So I needed to run it like this:
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.yoursite.com/images/', 'images/')
I needed to take forums/ out. They are working now.

What file did you have to edit? I have the same problem.

He edited the database. There are a couple of threads on vb.com about this - you should look over there for help with this issue.

Gr, I was stupid enough to do the "yoursite" part of the code and not change it. My images on the right now have a link looking like this;
http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.yoursite.com/images/smilies/iono.gif
I executed a code like follows...
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.yoursite.com/images', 'images/')
That correct?

That looks OK to me.

Thats because thats what you told it to do.
Your code should be as follows.
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/images/', 'images/')

You sure can long as you have permission in the config.

Well I do have permission. I wonder why it isn't working.

Do this:
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.nbadimensions.net/forums/http://www.yoursite.com/images/smilies', 'images/')
Make sure you clear your cache before you refresh.
Then tell me what the path is when you view the source.

Check the actual database and see what is really in there. Perhaps part of the link is being added when the page is parsed and isn't actually in the database like that.

The path is the same.

For future reference for anyone, when you run the query you enter this code:
UPDATE smilie set smiliepath=replace(smiliepath, 'http://www.yoursite.com/forums/images/', 'images/')
Replace this part http://www.yoursite.com/forums/images/ of the code above with what the link is for your smilies.
A couple of examples to put in that:
http://www.yoursite.com/forums/images/
http://www.yoursite.com//forums/images/
http://www.yoursite.com/images/
http://www.yoursite.com//images/
http://www.yoursite.net/forums/http://www.yoursite.net/images/
Whatever it is saying is the path for your smilies, put it in there.
**To run a query, go to your admincp. Go to Maintenance>>Execute SQL Query. Enter code in the big white box beside Manual Query and click on continue.
**If you can't run a query, then you need to set yourself with permission to do so in the config.php file.
