thanks for changing the icon. i havn't had a chance to convert mine to a png format haha.
oh, I ment to ask you guys.....
I have the "ability" to add the functionality for you guys to add "advertisements" to your site on BerryBlab.
This would be fully controlled by you, but would allow you to bring in advertising from your mobile site as well as your regular site. Do you think this is something I should start developing further (Will it make / break you using berryblab?) Let me know!Given that we'll be losing page views and advertising impressions, I think this would be a great idea. We use GAM, for now, although most advertising engines - hosted or not - should be similar for implementation onto the mobile interface.
Perhaps the use of the N and P shortcut keys to jump between replies? Just looking at lengthy replies that we may not care to read... no sense in giving the trackball or your thumb an unnecessary workout. I know the space bar works for page scrolls, but this would be slightly different with regards to reading a long email or webpage versus having actual navigation barriers (replies/posts) that could be used.

I can add the P and N functionality pretty easy. Will do for next release.
Given that we'll be losing page views and advertising impressions, I think this would be a great idea. We use GAM, for now, although most advertising engines - hosted or not - should be similar for implementation onto the mobile interface.
Unfortunately BB doesn't support javscript (not well anyway)so using google ad's won't work (or any other network using javascript) at least not at this time. I can provide support for regular banner ad's that you could control via PHP.
I also don't think you are "losing" anything when using BerryBlab. It's main intent isn't to replace your forum, but to supplement it.

Heya Rascal, LOVING THIS!
Was wondering how we could include this mod:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=203721
To add it to a style it is this edit:
Template edit:
In template forumhome find
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
<!-- /main -->
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
above add
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
$cel_social_groups
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don't like it there, you can insert $cel_social_groups anywhere you like on forumhome.
Is there a way to make it so this can happen on the Blackberry App as this is a major function of our site, allowing users to create their own forums on the index rather than an Admin.
our homepage is:
http://www.swedishseat.com/index.php
(It is Admin only approval for membership so please allow time if signing up)

I installed it and left it with only syncing the app in the morning.
After leaving it for a day, it had run my battery to "Radio Signal too Low" in double the time.
This was tested on a Blackberry 9000 on T-Mobile fresh OS install of the latest update.
Luckily I've got a few chargers so now leave it on charge at work.
Would there be a way for it to check Latest Posts and to show a notification much like the Facebook App does?

Sorry about the security issue. Everything is fixed up now.
The PM reply problem will be fixed today, and I will do a release tonight.

you need to put a log in notification when a user attempts to posts with out logging in.

scan-pa: this error was brought to my attention on another thread. I have been workign to fix it. It's just a data error in thread information in one of the functions I created. I should have it fixed in the next release.
honie: this error looks like its because your forums are marked as private. I will also have this fixed in the next release. This was due to my recent "security" fix, I had to block the viewing of private forums, but I haven't handled this "blocking" on BerryBlab yet, so you get an error regarding not being able to view the forum.
You user will have to be logged in and the error will likely correct itself.
Other Stuff:
I'm excited about this upcoming release. I have implemented several requested improvements, but it will be a few days before I release both the storm and keyboard versions. I need to test a few more things, the next update includes:
- "Friendly" Error Messages
- Connection Fix - check if the user has been logged out by the system and retry the login
- Notify the user they are not logged in on the main screen, added a button to allow them to login
- Separated forum options and login options
- Added Security Features
I will likely release this as "BerryBlab 1.0".
Forum Owners:
Please remember to sign up on http://www.BerryBlab.com and add your forum to our database. This will be the only way I can "prove" that you have helped with this Beta Test so that I can send you this software for free for your Beta Testing troubles. This is also one of the best ways to keep in touch with the latest updates and events happening at BerryBlab.
ALSO
I know there have been a few emails from people regarding their site not working with berryblab and I haven't gotten back to them yet - it's been hectic (this isn't my full time job) and I'm hoping the next release fixes your issues.
I'm looking forward to the next release but will it address the problem of adding my site to the forum network at berryblab.com?

foreach ($users_array['cc'] as &$theuser)

Small Update ..
If you are giving your users the direct link to the download, I would suggest having them surf to:

This will automatically detect their browser and put them to a page with the proper download for either Storm or Keyboard device.
If their browser is not detected, the direct link to the mobile site is:

I suggest you change all of your links to the above address to avoid confusion for your users downloading.

Also, if we could have the option of displaying sticky posts/threads first.
Thanks for this. My users love it!

It would be great if this would use the BB autotext feature (ie. automatically capitalizing "I", changing "wer" to "we're"). I find myself typing a message, then reading back over what I typed and remembering that autotext doesn't work. Other than that, I love it.

Very sexy and clean. I like it.
Installed this on my vb4.0.1 Publish Suite and dropped the files where your readme said to, edited the icon to match my site's icon. Ran over to BerryBlab.com via my blackberry and downloaded the app, which the file on your site is version #.93 and immediately of opening the app on my phone, it said #.995 is out and so I had to upgrade. You should fix that.
But everything went smooth so far.
Only thing I'm going to verify that I'm unsure about so far, is the NEW POSTS appears to be listing NEW POSTS to my forum, but not being specific to NEW POSTS that I have NOT seen yet. Which is really how it should be sorting them. I don't need to see the new post that I MADE. Again, I'm still testing. Besides this one thing, this will make my life so much easier keeping up with my website.
Thank you and let me know if you come out with support for any other types of phones besides BlackBerrys.

Ya. Been playing with my site via my blackberry last night and I can confirm now that this BerryBlab is not showing posts that are NEW to me. It's just showing posts that are NEW to my SITE. Which means things I reply to are jamming up on the list when they really shouldn't even be shown since the post isn't technically NEW to me anymore.
But, with that said, as much as I would like to see this fixed, it's still a great app.
Thank you for your work.

Hey guys,
Just wanting to let you know I dropped the version 1.0 of BerryBlab (Keyboard Devices) this morning.
I've received the emails from the Storm Testers, so i will get back to all of you before the end of the day. As I said, I'm hesitant to drop a Storm version without testing, although I do believe it will be fine.
As for improvements in 1.0:
BerryBlab 1.0 / 0.13 vBulletin
- Added Spellcheck / SureType / Capitalization Functionality
- Added ability to quote posts
- Added ability to select how many posts you can see
- Added ability to select how many threads you can see
- Added "Loading Forums" at screen startup so there is no "waiting" for the program to start
Although this version of BerryBlab is 1.0, I'm still keeping it in BETA until I am able to get to my test hardware, so you will be able to access the full features of the program for free.

So got the notice to upgrade to 1.00 on my BB. Upgraded just fine. It appears the New Posts is still not working for my site in regards to not showing MY POSTS as being NEW. www.MortysTwistedWorld.com/forums
Yet, something that is working now on this latest v1.00 is that the blackberry autotexting, autopunctuation, etc is working, which I'm happy to see. It's automatically capitalizing, putting periods at the end of sentences, etc. Thanks for fixing that. I didn't even think to mention that in my previous post.
Keep it up. It's looking good. Thanks for your efforts!
