Hi,
I want to display the latest 5 posts on my website (joomla website), the forum is in the root of my website, and i'm using vbulletin 3.8.3
I've seen allready a lot of threads about this, but no proper solution, because all gave the latest threads on a homepage and not the latest posts.
Is this possible without the use of rss?
Thanks

is the vbulletin install on the same server as joomla? there's two (possibly three) available options for this.

thanks for your quick reply.
Yes it's on the same server, in fact, vbulletin is in the root of the joomla installation.

1. you can use http://example.com/forum/external.php?type=js
that will give you javascript page so you can manipulate some basic stuff. create a loop and style it the way you want. that's in the vbulletin documentation
2. you can integrate your vbulletin with joomla using jfusion component for joomla. they also have a mod that will display latest posts. not sure how customizable the mod is. prolly the best vbulletin joomla bridge imo.
3. if you want something very pretty you can integrate cyb top 5 stats but that requires an joomla index.php hack so you're editing their source code and will have to take note of that if there's any upgrades. you can see a sample on this site if you scroll down past the video (http://www.ampprod.com/amp-live-tv-video-streams/watch-and-chat)
4. vbadvanced offers something like that but i've never used them so i'm not sure how that exactly works.
