I am in need of help the issue with my forum is that I am trying to have home page at .com and the forum at .com/forum and for some reason when I go to to my URL as .com the forbiden page will come up however when I use .com/forum is good I want to change this any ideas ?

Please don't post the same thread twice.
Check your .htaccess in the .com directory (public_html), does it say deny from all with no allow exceptions?

ps- it's probably the user:group permissions on your root web directory. that or .htaccess is wrong.

if your web root is /var/www then www should have the same user:group as setup in your webservers config file
