Custom templates not accepting variables?

Hello

I have recently installed an GARS and I am trying to have a custom template used within it.

Its all working fine but I am not able to include any variables within the template?

Is there something that I am missing?

Wouldn't it be the same though?

its a template that is within the style and I should be able to include other templates inside of it?

so what you are saying is that any template that has been added for a modification would not accept vb's variables?

Well, I'm not sure how GARS works, which is why this should be asked over there.
