what is the best option? is zoints any good? or should i fork out for vbSeo?

or is there anything else?

You can do plenty of "SEO" work without adding either of those products already.
Here is a good article on vBulletin SEO Tips (http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/f7/vbulletin-seo-optimization-tips-2.html), the easiest thing would be removing the "powered by vBulletin" text in your title tag

"powered by vBulletin"

i always remove that.That is the spammer query when looking for any vbulletin board.

and I remove the version number in the footer, this is one way hackers will find board to play with :up:

thanks, do these take time to update? as i just altered them but vbulettin crap is still appearing on google!

Of course it takes time for Google to update all of your pages - it's not a real time mirror of your site! It depends on how big your site is and how often Google sends it's spiders your way. Allow days, probably weeks, perhaps months before all of your pages have been updated in the index.

Great link, I applied a few of them and will work on a few more tomorrow.
