ehh, when i had a vps with normal php i got temp file errors. now i host vB at home myself cos i have a static ip, on a custom built server (MS Server 2003 Standard) with a core 2 duo (my old cpu) with zend server, and havent gotten a single issue.

Not to forget launching iostat / netstat never hurts to see if something it eating up disk or network resources slowing down things.
