shadowbox: a few questions. [Archive]

If you don't know what Shadowbox is,.- it's like lightbox but I think it's better,.- I know there's a mod here that has lightbox included with several other things into one package so I figured someone here may be messing around with shadowbox.

Anyways, I've implemented shadowbox into my 3.8.1 vB and have been using BB code,.- working around html input on a forum post,.- and have been shadowboxing youtube video's, flv's, wmp's, .jpg's and such perfectly,.-

If anyone has vBulletin with shadowbox on it

or,...

know a few things about javascript or shadowbox itself,..

I'm wondering if there is a way to shadow certain links automatically instead of haveing to BBCode each link seperately? The shadowbox website is really bland/empty and the forum isn't really supportive (I don't think the author knows to much more then a couple of basic commands and the setup process)..

I would also like to know if anyone has a shadowbox plug-in.....for automatically embedding the code, try out the Auto Media Embedding mod here at these forums

all links or certain links? how would the certain links be defined?Right now I have to BB code whichever links I want to be shadowed, I would rather it be where all links that are posted are automatically shadowed. The links are defined by the ending extensions, ex. (http://www.spam.com/video.avi),..

I'm just wondering if you can help provide the code on how you were able to get shadowbox to work with vbulletin. Thanks so much!

1. Download "shadowbox-build-3.0b" from (HERE (http://www.shadowbox-js.com/download.html)) and rename the main folder to "shadowbox".

2. You'll also need to download "JW FLV Player" from (HERE (http://www.longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/)) and rename the main folder to "mediaplayer" and put the "mediaplayer" folder into "shadowbox/libraries" folder.

3. Upload the "shadowbox" folder to your forum, usually:
http://www.yoursite.com/forums/

4. In your forum go to "AdminCP> Styles & Templates> Style Manager>", and open your "header" template,..

Paste the following at the very top:

Replacement: <a href="{param}" rel="shadowbox">{param}</a>Example: Image URL

Use {Option}: No
Button Image (Optional): You'll have to provide your own.
Remove tag if empty: Yes
Disable BB Code within this BB Code: Yes
Disable Word Wrapping Within This BB Code: Yes

I'm trying to get this working in vB 4... more specifically in CMS Articles. I'm having a little trouble though. Anyone get this working?
