I am an active member on several boards and have grown to love the vBulletin style.
Now I'm planning to set up my own forum (yeah, so what's new?).

I already have purchased the domain name and am now ready to buy VB.
The trouble is... I don't know what I must do next or where I go from here :o

I know I need a hosting service but I don't know which one I must sign up with.
A lot of people have offered a lot of advice and a lot of names - but I have no idea what I need to look for when deciding on a host.

Here's some info from my side:
I am in Singapore.
My forum will have around 3,000 users.
I won't host any video or audio.
I won't have avatars and signatures.
I don't want a dedicated server.
I don't expect any income from the forum.
I can spend US$10 a month on a host.

Would some kind soul tell me what to do next?
After I sign up with a host, how do I install VB on their server?
Should I get a host in Singapore or in the US?

My computer knowledge is very limited but I am not going to be discouraged!

information about hosting: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=11

spending 10$/m on a host is what we call minimal, with minimal service and minimal security...

it is not important if hosts are in Sing. or the USA... you need service...

Apologies for not searching for an answer before I posted my query.
Thanks for the link. I will browse that section and be back for more help if needed :)
