I am hoping to list my site for sale in the coming weeks. I believe my license expires around May. I am wondering if there is anything i have to do in the way of transferring my license or if i just sell the site? Any info would be appreciated...

You have to open a ticket at vbulletin.com seeking approval first

See the License Agreement (http://www.vbulletin.com/order/license_agreement.php):
Jelsoft may, at its discretion, allow you to transfer your Software license to another party, providing the license:
* has not already been transferred in the previous 12 months; and
* was purchased more than 3 months in the past.
* is an active owned license
