I'll join the bandwagon as I use only four mods on my forum, two of them are both produced by Cybernetec. The shoutbox mod and this mod. Was really bummed to see that both do not work well with VB 4.0. If it's going to take some donations for you to get this working on VB4, I'm willing to pony up some cash.

Or, if you don't plan on supporting VB 4, that would be helpful to know as well because I'll pay someone to make the shoutbox and this mod compatible with VB 4.

I'm still using 3.8.3 but have to say that this was one of the easiest mods I've added. I did add a couple of lines of code to the cyb_topstats_stats template, which I found by searching for cyb_topstats_stats in the template manager, to allow the stats to be seen only by the admin and moderators, usergroupid 6 and 7.

Its not nearly as configurable and seems to still have some bugs.

I am stumped on a particular thread that should be showing in the top 10 Hottest Threads within the last 90 days.

This thread (http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/ported-subwoofer-build-projects/22180-mach-5-18-180lt-500watts-tuned-20hz.html) has 95 replies in the last 90 days and is not showing up in the Hottest Threads. It is not in an excluded forum and the member is not in an excluded usergroup, yet a thread that only has 85 replies in the last 90 days is listed. The member brought this to my attention.

I thought maybe it had something to do with the old version I had and decided to upgrade to the latest version. I did and it is still not showing up.

Also... how can I get my four blocks back instead of just two? The flexibility of layout has been reduced to almost nothing with the latest update.

Yeah running the other version currently since this one isn't available yet for vB4 yet. I liked this version better since it shows you several options, the other one is tabbed and drop down menus to see different categories.

For some strange reason my latest posts stopped showing. I did absolutely nothing and did not add any plugins in the past 6 months. It dont work for either IE or FF. Everything else still shows except for the latest posts. It will show thread and Posted by but it wont show the posts.. Like I said it just stopped working out of nowhere.

I realized what my problem was. My server was running out of memory resources which some how affected the mod. After I fixed the issue with my storage it started working again.

Check the permissions: Usergroups not allowed to view. Be sure your usergroup isn't listed in there.

I must do a little modification to the way the statistics are showed.

I see many have used the disable option only to find the whole mod disappears for their user account only. When you logout or login with a different account the stats reappear. To quickly fix this, login to the disabled account and put this in your URL window. (change the domain and forum directory of course)

Sorry if this has already been gone over. I read through a ton of pages and the $cybts_enablelink fix didn't do anything on my system regardless of what style I added it to. So I checked the last couple of pages here and saw that the question was still being asked and this is the quickest and easiest way I've found to turn them back on.

I just installed this to replace our other Stats mod and thats one thing I keep hearing from my members is they would like the latest post section to have a bigger size font.

The loading times for this mod are ~ 2 minutes until it shows any results. Auto-refresh and Timecut are set to 0. Any ideas how to fix that? In another forum the results were shown within less than a second only (I guess that is the way it should be). Thanks a lot!

Is your Apache MaxConnections sufficient to handle forum load? To tell you the truth, I am not sure. I couldn't find a setting like this using info.php (I am using a managed server as I am no admin ;-)). On the same server I am running a test vB 4.0.3 using the according stats module and here it works. Only on my running forum 3.8.5 using top stats 6.6.2 it's havinh these pretty long loading times of 2 minutes. I used tha stats module on an my old shared server from the same company and here it used to work fine. Only on the current managed server which is our own it doesn't work anymore. So I switched it off :-(. Any ideas how to help me? Thank you so much!

Thank you very much for this great mod. We have been using it on our forum and my users are very happy.

Could you help us in adding two features in BLOG side only.

If a user has made several entries only one entry be shown. This would help distribute the traffic evenly otherwise some users post a lot of entries and others are unable to keep their entry in recent list and hence they do not get enough readers.
If a blog entry is to be published on a future date it is still shown on top of the list with giving error upon clicking.I would be very thankful if you can update these two items and I hope others users would also like this improved feature/quality. Thanks in anticipation

Figured out it was caused by the latest update of my Anti-Malware / Firewall (Vipre Premium), specifically the ad blocking section.

With version 6.0 those features are gone.

With version 6.0 those features are gone.

it looks like your not the admin of the forum and you dont know what your talking about.
you dont install it from your ftp so why use it to uninstall it..

I am the owner of the site, so also an admin yes.
I know it is not installed with FTP, it is installed with ACP.
But my question is clear i guess, now i cannot acces my ACP anymore, what i see is: 
I want to know if there is a way to delete this mod, so i can access my ACP again, i kwow the normal way to uninstall this mod, is by using Admin Control Panel, but DUH..... how can i acces?

I re-installed this mod, because instead of some text in the board, it says also , so logical thinking was to switch this mod off and re-install it with overwriting. But after install you supposed to come in acp control home or somewere, but not in

I've just added this mod to my site and I just get the Loading message, with no stats shown.

Been reading loads of forum posts about it. Added an .htaccess file with the redirect. Tried version 6.4. None of these seem to be working on my 3.8.1 forum.

Looks like I need some help.

I've been using version 5.5. I had hard coded the stats template to show me the data I wanted.

eg.

It seems like the new 6.6.2 doesn't work properly with this setup anymore. Most likely due to javascript?

Though I don't understand why it wouldn't work, as the variables are still the same.

BTW I am putting these stats in my header template to add to my left nav bar. Which is why I need to make this modification.

I have this installed on 3.8.6PL2 and things seem to be working well except for one issue. I have Latest Group Posts in block 2 and a couple of threads in a particular group don't seem to be showing up. The block shows a slot for these group threads but the title section in the block is empty. The time and group is showing..just not the thread title and no link to the group thread. It only seems to be happening with 2 particular threads in one specific group.

Anyone else run into this or have a solution or suggestion?

Latest posts are having a problem in chrome. The bottom randomly shows an empty space with the color from the other table. It is random and I will attach a screenshot when it happens again. You might be able to see it happen if you refresh the page a few times.

Is it common for hosters to send you emails about them locking your database due to this addon (specifically, the 'hottest threads'-query)? I've had two emails so far where the 'running query' indicated by the auto-generated email was the 'hottest threads' query.

Pro tip, when serving the results from a complex COUNT query to all visitors of a website, cache the results. Even if it's just for a minute or so. Nobody will notice the counts aren't 100% accurate.

...Oh wait right, PHP, nvm.

We'll be forced to disable or hack around in this addon if we get another email, in order to prevent our website from being unavailable or our hosting party kicking us out or fining us or whatever. Much obliged if performance could be enhanced.

Relevant info & stats, this problem occurs on vB 3.8 running v. 6.5 of this addon on a Hostgator hosting account, a forum with 300K posts.

MySQL EXPLAIN indicates it has to run through almost 6000 rows for a simple and frequently-accessed count / set o' stats.

I have a similar problem. After an upgrade to MYSQL, this mod is killing my server resources. It seems to be the query that deals with private forums. If I disable the mod, the board flies. If I activate it, it comes to a crawl at peak time (300-400 members online).

I had a similar issue last year when mysql was upgraded, but one of our server techs seemed to be able to optimize the DB enough to make it work. No one seems to be able to help this time.

At the worst, our HOST wrote us saying: "High resource usage, especially with PHP scripts" (i.e. misc.php, which this MOD calls for stats calculations) and "Sometimes it has spiked to 35-40% of the CPU."

The user causing this problem, was using MS-IE (Version 8.0.7600.16385) to access our website and was the only one having this issue. They also had a Macintosh computer in the household and when using it, the issue was not present. This week (i.e. 02MAR), they installed the Google Chrome Browser, and have not caused any server load issues since employing it.

Personally, I set our NIX Server Load Limit (in AdminCP) to 10, and also revised the "How often users can manually refresh Latest Posts (in seconds)" to 300. I took both these actions, in an attempt to help reduce our server load during heavy usage times and avoid getting our account suspended again by our HOST.

Again, briefly the problem was the continual reloading of our main forum page that show the stats boxes, causing them to be re-calculated continuously....(below is just 1 second of our raw access log)

It would be nice if this MOD could cache the last results of the stats calculation, and then if requested to re-calc them again too soon (i.e. upon multiple reloading of a webpage) it would just display such rather than having to re-calculate them all over again.

Not that any of this solves the actual issue which caused the problem (i.e. still unknown), but it might help to shed some more light on what's happening to some other administrators employing this MOD. Meanwhile, FWIW our Server Load Averages are back down to normal (i.e. 2.77 3.15 3.20) after our single problem user quit using MS-IE v8.

I have the following problem, related to the Social Groups: i want to show the "Latest Group Posts" in ForumHome.

But some of them have been configured -by their owners- as only readable by members of the group. However, if i visit the ForumHome as not logged in, statistics show the titles of the "Latest Group Posts" of such groups.

How can i exclude from non-members of that Social groups, the viewing of the "latest Group posts" that are configured to be private, or readable only by members of the group? I am running vBulletin 3.8.7

I edited this plugin to include an "Exclude Forums" functionality that caches per user. I had some members complaining about there always being posts shown in a section they are not fans of so to speak. So by adding that function it allows each user to select which forums display new posts in that section. (to the right)

I too am having the same problem. If your using a custom style, this is considered a requirement.

If someone could point out the template where "$cybts_enablelink" needs to go I would be very appreciative.

Is it worth updated from 5.8.1 ? I see some members are having issues.. not sure if I want to update if that's the case. I'm not having any issues with 5.8.1 though if this update increases performance then it's something I would be interested in. Opinions?

I don't know why but there are nothing in the Latest Posts column, I tried many times uninstall and reinstalling but had no result!

I cant read through 81 pages and the search function isnt showing anything valuable. When I use this mod it shows fine on my forumhome in my forums directory but my vbadvanced install which is in my root site directory the stats are just blank and show loading.

Anyone know why or what needs to be edited to get that working?

Again, it shows fine on the forums but not the vbadvanced homepage. Url's and such are all correct.

My apologies if already asked and answered... But - is there a way to disallow this on a style by style basis? Example - I don't want it on my mobile style.








EDIT: I found a workaround for this.

In the options for this Mod, go to "Main Top Stats box on ForumHome" and set it to "No auto insertion."

Right below that find "Stats on Custom Pages (OPTIONAL)" and input, "index" without the quotation marks.

Then in the FORUMHOME template of each style where you want this Mod to appear:

Find: $navbar

And put right under that:

$cybtopstats

And save.

This Mod will not appear on any style without the $cybtopstats hook inserted if you do this.

There has to be a way to get this working for a vbadvanced install that is located in a different folder.

Forexample my vbadvanced folder is in my root folder while my forums are located in a /forums folder inside that root.

Anyone have any insight?

What VB version are you using *and* what versions of php/mysql are you using ?
Not sure: You can see them in your Admin Control Panel stats or in Cpanel/Web Hosting Control Panel. :)

First thought is either your php/mysql version is unsuitable (mysql possibly too high)
