I'm using the latest version together with my custom template but $cybts_enablelink doesn't work well. The problem is that it's still showed or it's not showed at all. I used:

I might have over looked this. I'm wondering if there is a way to make certain forums not show up. In the top stats. Like if I have a Staff area I don't want those topics and threads showing in the recent posts.

Yeah, I'm actually uninstalling this.

I've been using this hack from the beginning, but it's lost a great deal of customization for the worse. The whole point of this hack is CONTENT and when you're forced to use a particular stat type (Like if I don't want to use a "Forum Stat" type, for example) and can't have "what you want where you want," it has lost its purpose.

Yep, having the same problem on my forums as well. Pretty damn frustrating, was hoping a fix had come along already but I guess not. :(

I've even tried uninstalling / reinstalling the hack to no avail.

Cyb - Any input on why it's not working?

My IE7 users seem to be having the 'loading' issue and some are saying it does not load the first time but if they refresh it will load.. Not all IE users but most as far as I can tell.

we have FORUM/misc.php?do=cybstats set to show Top 20 so it fills the entire page. We want to show a Top 5 stats like on the forum index on our main site.

Great mods Cyb, however is there any plans to make AFS work on all domain variations? It appears that AFS only works on the domain you have set in "Site Name / URL / Contact Details".

E.G: In my "Site Name / URL / Contact Details" I have it set to http://www.domain.com which means on http://domain.com AFS only shows Loading...

I had the previous versions installed on my 3.7.4 vbulletin and I had customised it slightly - I want to have three simple columns.

My news posts on the left.
Reviews in the centre column (thats my classifieds, I changed the phrase thats all).
Latest posts on the right.

User stats are showing up whatever I do - I want to get rid of user stats completely, but I can't seem to do that with this new version. I also want to get rid of the numbering (1-10 etc).

Any ideas please? :)

yes, it loads fine when going directly to that page but if i move cforumstats.php outside of the forum directory it doesn't work. i keep getting the PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function query_first_slave() on a non-object in /home/***/public_html/community/includes/functions.php on line 1368

The version for 3.7 is much much better IMO, always loads right and has a cleaner layout.

Only issue I am having running it on 3.8 is that when I put to list Top 5 new threads it lists 10 which is fine but I would like to make it so it says Top 10 instead of Top 5.. any ideas?

Currently, if a user has been idle on the page, this thing still tries to fetch the latest data. There should be some sort of timeout that can be set..maybe 5 minutes of user inactivity until they refresh the page or click the statistics 'Refresh' link. As it is now, this thing somehow is keeping user sessions alive if a user leaves the page open for the night and eventually goes on the fritz (the auto refresh constantly blinks and messes up IE for some reason).

I was running this AJAX version but had issues and just enjoy the overall look and options of 5.8.1 better. My only issue is that I selected 5 'top' stats but it shows 10 which is fine by me but the header still says 'Top 5 Stats' how would I change the 5 to a 10? I searched the phrases and was unable to find it.

i have successfully achieved this. although, if you're trying to add it to a cms or something we haven't gotten past that. i believe the cms is is forcing it to be a nested function.

if you just need to add it to a single page outside of the form and not in a cms i can help you with that.

Yeah, I'm trying to add to add/create a block for use in MkPortal. I think it should be possible, as its a CMS that relys on vbulletin (and other forums) for its use. I've created the block, and can view the block fine directly.

But then trying to add/view the block on the portal just doesn't show it.

This my code, and it echo's the information fine. But mkportal requires the $content variable to view block info. I'm going to look into other ways of echo'ing the data and see what works. I'm not sure if using eval may work or not. I'm not a expert at php, but can find my way with various help/searches.

I have members experiencing and I can confirm a problem where the chatbox displays but only states "Loading..." - this is only with MSIE and has only just started in the last day or so. The other reported problem that occured at the same time is Post Quick Reply - just sits there spinning... Never posts - but go advanced and other posting works fine.
I have the error in MSIE from the bottom left - the <!> which says Error on Page:

Having seen the other reports I wonder if this is a MS update induced issue??

If you're talking about where news is displayed, I'm pretty sure that's for like, news forums, so you'd enter the id or whatever for the forum where you post your announcements and that's what would show up.

And stardotstar, I have the problem in Firefox, so I doubt it's a Microsoft thing (unless MSIE does not mean Microsoft Internet Explorer, in which case, ignore this and carry on).

That is because most likely you need to force "www." on your server. And include the www. in your 'Site Name / Url / Contact Details' options in ACP.

Example is someone types "website.com" in their browser and it re-directs them to "www.website.com". When you force "www." on your webserver, it actually debugs quite a lot of other apps, scripts, etc.

Here is how to force "www." via htaccess:

1) Copy and Paste into notepad:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^WEBSITE.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.WEBSITE.com/$1 [L,R=301]


2) Replace both words, "WEBSITE" with your site domain name

3) Save the document with the file name "1.htaccess" and Save type as "All Files (*.*)"

4) Upload the file "1.htaccess" to your root directory (public_html) or (www)

5) Rename "1.htaccess" to '.htaccess'

Or if you already have an .htaccess file in your root directory, simply add the rewrite code at the top of the file via notepad, save it, reupload it.

Okay after switching to my new host and uploading the db, this mod does not want to work. On every box it says loading for every member all the time no statistics what so ever. Any solutions to this?

Tried that, also now I have another problem, after doing the htaccesse thing when we click on a link instead of taking us to www.domain.com/announcements it takes us to www.domain.com/WWW.domain.com/announcements. Any way to fix that? I have already deleted the redirect thing from the htaccess file but no luck.

it works if you install it and dont change anything. But if you change something in the settings, it lost all settings and dont show anything on the forum startsite. you have to de-install it and install it again. and then you cant change anything in the settings. for example "Forum Stat to show on page load". if you changes that and hit save, after it all settings lost and you cant change it back.

now it shows me after re-installing after a day the following error "Error: Check startup item options" for "User stats" and "Forum stats". any idea?

Which version of vB you are using?

If it's 3.5.x or 3.6.x then this version will not work on your forums as there are setting codes which are compatible with 3.7.0 and later versions only.

Cybernetec, how about to add Prefix view to list? I have commercial sub-forum, where I added prefixes [Buy], [Sell], [Exchange]. So if user want to sell something he choose prefix [Sell] and enter title, for example, "TFT Monitor". Then in a list of threads of this forum you will see: [Sell] TFT Monitor, but there is only title "TFT Monitor" in Top Stats and it confuse a bit.

Anything on the reason why it doesnt allow you to view the second or third page of a thread when you have this installed? It worked fine till we upgraded to the newest version. Ever since if you try to go to say page 3 of a 3 page thread it just goes to the first page, but when you disable the stats, everything works fine.

I have these stats displayed on my forum home and my CMPS home page. Bergler, I think, problem with path to image files. There are 2 ways to fix it:

Right click on image -> See path to image and create it on you server and put there both images.
Edit settings of Cyb - Advanced Stat -> Enter full not relative path to images (this one is much better)

I used Version 5.7 but it was not possible to view more results caused by a missing securitytoken.

Versin 6.5 ist not useful for me, because I also can?t add more windows and it seems as it is not possible to disable the latest-post option.

As a "first aid" I deinstalled 6.5 and reinstalled 5.7.

I am having a display problem with one of my styles called Blak ice 3.8.1. As you can see from the screen shot the display is out of alignment.

1. Do you have any idea whats causing this and what I need to change to correct this.

If you have upgraded from old, non-AJAX version, you'll see a lot of differences...

Having several stats refreshing automatically may push your server. That's why we have less blocks here, but also nice feature to view any stats in two clicks without page refresh. Older versions had more stats blocks but users was not able to view more than that.

Non-AJAX version: max 6 blocks = max 6 stats
AJAX version: All stats available in 1 or 2 blocks + auto-refresh, manual refresh, random mode,...

I know. But it did not work on forums with several domains and some different settings.

I can only recommend you to have forum and CMPS installed to the same dir.

just makes things complicated with no good reason.

Move your vBaCMPS index file to the forum root dir, then update homeurl and portal settings. This will increase compatibility with several vBulletin add-ons.

1. Set Forum URL in vB Options to WWW.forum.xxx

2. Redirect forum.xxx to www.forum.xxx
This is easily done via .htaccess which is placed in forum root folder:
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^FORUM.com [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.FORUM.com/$1 [L,R=301]
Replace FORUM.com with your domain...


I have added this to my .htaccess file in my forum root. I have imported the latest version of the product but I still get the loading issue. I am running 3.8.2 Any ideas??



Update: I deleted the product and installed version 6.4 as per someones suggestion. Now it works. Why doesnt latest version work with 3.8.2????

Where can I find 5.8 ? For my needs I really prefer the ability to have multiple boxes of stats and I really don't need Latest Posts so the auto-refreshing really doesn't do it for me.

We are using many social groups that are not for everyone (type Invite Only). But in Advanced Forum Statistics there are links to all discussions with newest posts in section "Latest Group Posts" regardless of fact, if the user has to see it (is member of that group or not).

So there are showing names of discussions (even for unregistered users) which meant to be hidden. Besides of privacy it also consumes space in this section with links that are useless (it shows error message after click becouse of permission issue).

Is there a way to somehow fix this?

Just found a bug which had me 3 day's straight trying to troubleshoot. Since I'm not a programmer and only a keyboard tuner, this may be helpful to those who move hosts.

I moved my entire site and custom template and custom front page style (e.g. define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'mainpage_index');) to a new host.

Old Host
MySQL-Version: 4.1.22-standard
PHP-Version: 4.4.7

New Host
MySQL-Version: 5.0.77-community
PHP-Version: 5.2.9

It should have a no-brainer until I started receiving errors such as:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_PRIVATE, expecting ')' in /home/domain/public_html/forums2/global.php(607) : eval()'d code(168) : eval()'d code on line 1

and

two other plugins stopped working or loading correctly (Advertisement System by TZ and Frontpage Slideshow). The latter failed to because either Advanced Forum Statistics 5.8.1 and 6.6.1 was failing somewhere until AFS was disabled. Disabling your plugin resolved these problems.

I couldn't figure out why no stats were loading on my main defined page in index.php with the plugin enabled.

This morning I resolved it and realized that in my Stats on Custom Pages (OPTIONAL) section, the word "private" is a reserved word now in PHP 5.2.9 and possibly a few releases before and I could not call this PHP page in your plugin. Removing "private" from the list of custom pages I was calling fixed the problem.

I've been back as far a v. 5.4 trying 5.7, 5.81 and 6.6.1 and none of them work for me now (the exception being 5.4). 5.7 and 5.81 will show some results with the exception of latest posts; I can't get latest posts to show in any version other than 5.4.

I've been though close to 20 pages in this topic and have yet to see anyone else with a similar issue. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong here?

good, but wish adding more blocks/columns would be possible. instead of only allowing 2 blocks, have 4 blocks or give that option. another option would be to eliminate the last posts and create more blocks the size of the 2 existing blocks, which would then allow a total of 6 blocks if eliminating the last posts. installed.

OK I figured out what the problem was (at least in my case).

Uninstalling the product simply isn't enough especially if you've tried installing/uninstalling past versions as I have. You may have to revert your cyb topstats template as well within the style manager.

Hi all, has anyone had a problem with the Main Left Top "Latest Posts" stats not displaying for MSIE users? It works fine for me with FF but MSIE users are all seeing only that first left box blank>

I find that only me as user 1 and super admin can see the Latest Posts in any of the AFS displays when in MSIE. FF ok,.
Doing a complete reinstall after an attempt at an upgrade over the top.

Reinstall did not help.

It appears that this is all members except me in MSIE and Firefox! The panel shows "loading..." then stays blank,...
