I've attempted to setup the New York Times as an RSS feed, but when I run the "Preview Feed", I receive and error:

XML Error: mismatched tag at Line 57

What does this error mean?

What is the exact link you are using for the feed and what are your settings for it in the RSS Feed manager?

All the options are set at the default other than these:

URL of Feed: http://www.nytimes.com/pages/index.html?partner=rss

Enabled: Yes

I have a user ID set as poster

Convert HTML to BB Code: Yes

The only setup that the Times offered was all in HTML and I extracted the link from that. I wasn't sure that would work.

I've never used the RSS and I don't really know what I'm doing. I'm really not sure how to acquire the proper links.

Thanks for your help!

I get the same error with that link. I just clicked on it and it is definitely not an rss feed. If you go to the bottom of that page, you'll see a link to the rss feeds - http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/index.html Pick one from there.

I just looked at every one they have. All of them are full pages of HTML.

Can you show me an example of a RSS feed URL that works on a site?

Perhaps if I know what it is I'm looking for, it'll help.

The Times doesn't have a single URL listed in any of their "RSS" areas. Just entire HTML scripts that would be used on a standard HTML web page.

I just grabbed the link of one randomly - http://www.nytimes.com/services/xml/rss/nyt/Books.xml and it makes posts like this:

Books of The Times: Perfect Neighbors, Perfect Strangers

Jennifer Baszile describes growing up in an upper-middle-class African-American family ? ?the real live Huxtables? ? that never felt at home in its affluent white suburb.

If you are just clicking on the link, your browser is going to show a whole page of rss links (at least both firefox and safari will). That is not what a post will look like. That is the *feed*

That is the *feed*Thank you Lynne, I was clicking on the link. Having never done it before, I had no idea what I was looking for.

After right clicking on the link, copying the link, and using it as the URL in the appropriate location, it worked great.

Thank you for your help and patience.
