Hi,
I'm trying to limit the RSS feed to only 1 specific forum and not all the forums. I'd like it to show on the external?type=RSS2 page and be my one and only feed exiting from the site. I know that I add forumid= [ID Number], but I have no idea where to place it in the code. Adding a new RSS feed does not work as the whole forum still populates. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Lynne

You've turned on the rss feed for your site, but you only want people to be able to get a feed from one forum? If the forum is not visible to guests, then users cannot get an rss feed from it. So if you close all forums to guest view except the one forum, then that will be the only forum that has threads in the rss feed.

Hi Lynne
Thanks for the reply. I still would like guests to view my forums, I find that very important. I know there is a way to alter the code so that only 1 forum will be fed out externally. If there is a post on this issue elsewhere which descriibes how to do this, please post it here. Thanks

If you add forumid=x to the end of the link, that will make it so there is only one forum showing the rss feed, but all someone has to do is change forumid=x to forumid=y and then they can see the other forum rss feed anyway. The only thing I can think of to do what you want it to make a plugin using the external_start hook location and basically say that forumid=x no matter what the link may say. I suppose you can play around with that idea.
