Using vB's RSS parser in my own Plugin

Are there any examples or tutorials of using vB's built in RSS parser in a plugin?

We don't want to create posts or threads but want to use core vB where ever possible.

I believe the up to date version of vBulletin has a nice set of classes for XML generation, but I am not sure. Take a look at external.php for clues

Thanks, but I'm using, not generating.

There is some sample code in /includes/cron/rssposter.php and I guess I'll work from that. Was hoping there was a nice example or tute tho.
