Ok, I feel I installed this program right. But when I go to the "Video.php" url, I get this message below.

I went to the "Videos" section in my Vbulletin admin and it says "yes" to active the genral category.

Only thing I see wrong is the hoster settings. It says under the youtube inc hoster "This hoster has no settings". I think I might have to reinstall this program and put in the right settings for the youtube settings. If so, what are the right settings? I just went with the default settings that showed up.

I thought it had something to do with this, but I was looking in the wrong usergroup to try to fix this. I was looking at where it showed all the usergroups with a check next to them in the "Videos" section in the admin.

That link is working. Now I just have to see if I can post a youtube video.

just awsome I love this feature just awoke my members..I would like to know if you cna add the button add anoth video as soon as you have uploaded a video . Becuase you end up seeing the last video you uploaded but then you have to click to categorie again to upload another video. also is there a way to get latest video upload image to portal home page to tell members there is a new video uploaded.

It's possible to add other hosters, but it's not easy.

The Profile-Tab will show up the user's videos and maybe small stats.

AT the moment i don't plan to add these hosters, but maybe another members does and releases the integration as a xml file here.

I know its not easy to add more hosters or else i would have done it myself but would adding the ability to just submit the embedded code supplied by all these video hosting sites not be easier than doing individual sites. Its quite obvious those with the coding knowledge aren't interested in adding additional integration files. I appreciate your work it has massive potential for my site but is this an option in the near future.

That's a "pre-implementation" - it's not a default feature, but you can enable it with just a couple of lines: You just have to add a function fetch_bbcode to all videohoster classes. But that "Feature" isn't supported.

1.) You'd have to write your own code for this or you could use the vbcms-Module Code.

I'd just like to reiterate what a brilliant feature this would be. Even if it were only an option for Admins and Mods or chosen usergroups to post embedded code that would be fine. The installs of this mod would go through the roof if it were implemented.

If so, I'd like to add support for this into the AME XML add-ons. It depends on the URLs being unique. But I wanted to check first before installing and going through all those motions.

No, the unique URLS are depending on an automatically via SQL generated ID ;)

Mmh. It seems that videos not having a numeric url are only embeded video from other videohosters (in this cas youtube) ...

@Flaggs: Yes - if the video may not be embedded, the user'll get a error message (when he tries to add the video :))
@Folder: It's in the same directory as vBulletin. But i added vBSEO Reqrite Rules to this hack - if you use vBSEO and them, your users will think, that the video directory is not a part of the forum (Example Url: forum.com/videos/funny-videos-2/new-hit-46.html)

Speaking of vBSEO...

In the ACP Options, when checking to see if the "vBSEO-Integration" box should be displayed or not, instead of checking just for the presence of VBSEO_ENABLED it may be better to also check to see if the variable is true or false. That way people who have vBSEO disabled will not get the error message.

So instead of checking for just...if (defined('VBSEO_ENABLED') ...... check instead for:if (defined('VBSEO_ENABLED') && VBSEO_ENABLED ...

The hooks for the navbar only work if the navbar remains in the navigation templates. On one I my skins, I moved the navbar to the header templates, and the navbar hooks stop working. You must manually add them in that case.

The tag system is planned for version 1.2.0 - but 1.2.0 will be finished earliest in some months - i haven't begun developing on it yet, and i don't know, when i'll begin with it (At first I want to release 1.1.0 final :)).

It will not be possible to add one video into multiple categories (because of the database structure of this mod).

When I tried to use it, I got an error and the thumbnail creation failed. *frustrated* So close.... The video shows tho and will play but I uninstalled it.

I think this is a bug, even tho I have vbseo (latest gold version) installed and running on my forum, I can't get video urls to rewrite

general settings page of video directory in admincp shows:
Obviously you have installed vBSEO, but the video-directory isn't integrated in vBSEO yet.

To rewrite the links of the video-directory, add in your vBSEO-control center in "user definded rewrite rules" what follows:

After you have done that, this remark will disappear.

I've done what it says but this message is not disappearing and the only working URL is "video.php" one which becomes "/video/"
all other links are still the old style, e.g. "http://localhost/forums/videos/?do=viewdetails&categoryid=1&categorytitle=general&videoid=6&videotitle=xingmpeg-player-test-video"

I've done the necessary changes to have 3level categories but it's a repeated while loop within couple of files, I can share it if you want but its messy, it's better to have a function to do this or maybe use or copy one of the built-in vbulletin category functions

If all it would take is adding a new profile field for people to add their URL to & adding a lil code to add a new "my fav videos" block to the user profile I've done this for a couple of other mods around here. Would it be this simple?

There's no profileblock yet.

And a profileblock is not a profilefield.

The profileblock would display the latest X Videos of a user in his profile.
