Was the modification to add that to our websites made available anywhere on site?
I think it would be a very helpful modification for all members out there. I have this feeling that it was never released, and yet vbAdvanced uses something similar, so the code is out there, but it's as if no one is sharing it with the other vbulletin owners.

Is it something like this (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=155170) you're looking for?

No. Vb.org's front page is not the forumhome. It might be a custom cms front page, but the poll vb.org uses is not on the forumhome. That code puts the poll underneath the navbar within your forum on your forum index page aka forumhome.

I see what you mean, you want to display the poll on a custom page. There seems to be a few threads requesting such a thing but no real answers.

Exactly.
That's why I'm asking why it was never released, obviously someone stripped it or knows what it is, since it looks near exactly like the one on vbAdvanced.

Would like to know why one of the most helpful codes out there to forum owners is not released as a mod for the rest of us?

Yea, after you install it you can find it in Modules called "current poll"

Yeah but that's the only part of the whole VBA that I want. Who stole it first, did .org take it from VBA or did VBA take it from .org. Because it looks exactly the same.
I don't know how to install only one module on our front page to make this work. It's like picking out the croutons from a salad.

Why do you assume someone stole anything? It's a standard table using the standard poll images for vBulletin. The vBulletin.org code is custom and will not be distributed, this goes for all the portal code.

Because it's exactly the same as the VBA code, so that suggests either someone is working for both teams or either your website stole code or they did.
It isn't custom when it's the same exact thing.

It isn't custom when it's the same exact thing. So you have seen both the vBa module code and the custom code used here at vB.org in order make your claim that "it's exactly the same" on both sites? Or are you making a rather bold statement based upon an assumption?
They may look similar but they are far from being the same. As Danny said, it is just pulling data from a table. Just because you are not finding any other released versions does not mean that the two examples you know of are the "same" and most certainly the code was not copied from the other. vBPortal has a poll feature as well -- Does that mean they stole it?

So you just want a simple code/mod that will add a poll on your frontpage without a vBAdvanced? Not understand your question.

Yes.
I want it to pull the latest poll created on the forum and display it for voting and to show results after voting.
We were given a code from someone but it didn't work. We got a front page error that said something about line 8 in our index.php page which is our Meta line, which makes no sense and the error never appeared before. So we're lost as to why that error popped up. Dismounted said to check some character, but the problem fixed itself when we removed the code. I'm wondering if he meant check in that php file and not our index.php file.

This would be a great feature. I'd love to see something like cut and paste widgets that let you display forum stats, polls, latest posts etc.. basically anywhere. It would make it so much easier for the not so gifted among us to create more customized home pages without having to use an additional cms or blog script.
It would also be decent in helping you go "viral". Being able to include these on facebook, myspace or any other similar site would be sure to bring in new members. I'll put it on the bottom of my wish list and pray someone smart (and bored) picks it up. :)

Waiting for an answer as to what we are missing in our own code.
