Hi,

We recently upgraded to 3.6.10, forum display is very slow with 4000 forums. I configured xcache for it, not a big improvement, it takes around 30-40 seconds to load the page.

It would be great if anybody can suggest me the settings for xcache to improve the performance.

Thanks,
S~

My current settings are:

xcache.size = 64M
xcache.count = 1
xcache.slots = 8K
xcache.ttl = 7200
xcache.gc_interval = 300

xcache.var_size = 64M
xcache.var_count = 1
xcache.var_slots = 8K
xcache.var_ttl = 7200
xcache.var_maxttl = 14400
xcache.var_gc_interval = 300

You should probably post over in the Server Configuration forum at vb.com.

Having 4000 forums will bring every server on it's knees. Most likely you (well, your server ;)) are short of memory.

Good one Marcho. Thanks for the replies.
Do you think increasing RAM and resetting xcahce will help for the better performance?

Thanks,
S~

I suggest asking in the server configuration forum at vB.com, but general consensus is that around 1500 forums is the maximum for most servers without running into problems.
